After Lucian left with the king, Orion left with Zane. Ave remained sitting at the table with the twins, who stared at their food silently before Celeste broke the silence. "For how long are we going to stay here?" she asked no one in particular as silent tears flowed down her face. "I miss home, and I wonder what's happening with Mother and Sister Thalia we left behind..."
Isolde also began to cry with her sister. Ave couldn't blame them; the people here were the rudest she had ever encountered in her entire life. No normal people would insult a guest like they had done. "Don't worry, guys, I'll make sure I talk to Lucian to check up on them and see what's going on back home," she assured the crying twins as she went to pat their backs and hug them.
"Really?" Isolde looked up at Ave with hopeful eyes. "You'll tell him to bring them here as well?"
