The Empress paced back and forth in her chamber, her golden dress' hem sweeping the clean floors behind her, she massaged her throbbing forehead as she glanced at her brother, who looked rather happy after the news he had delivered to her in the dining hall while she was distressed.
"Are you certain the message was from him?" She questioned Edward with a frown, hoping in her heart that there had been some sort of mistake with the letter they had received this dawn.
Edward reclined on the lounge chair he was seated on and smiled. "Of course, sister. Uncle Darson's crow had been the one to deliver the message itself. Why do you not seem happy that at least one of our family members in the casket in our ruined world has woken up? It wouldn't just be us now; something has woken up Uncle Darson, and if we can find that thing, we can use it to wake up the rest of our people even without that damned Rosette who put them there to rot away," he gritted through clenched teeth.
