"You can tell me about that, but please let go of me. Let's sit up and talk," Ave said, anxious to get away from his hold. His scent was all over her to the point she hated that she liked it. Nonetheless, instead of releasing her, Lucian only snuggled closer to her, pressing her back so close to his front like he didn't want any gap between them.
"Let me hold you like this, Aveline. Even if just for a little while, until I'm done telling you why I sparred with the prince of Nazia," he breathed.
Ave found herself relaxing in his arms as she heard his words, which she was curious about. She would kick him off the bed when he finished telling her why he had sparred with that prince this afternoon.
"Why did you spar with him?" she questioned, trying not to move too much so she wouldn't be so aware of how he was holding her or his leg around her body.
