The never seen winter in Ghana has been going on for the past two years. Vida Osei is shivering all over the place but don't even know what to do in this cold. Ghana has never had a temperature of below twenty degrees before but now it is below zero degrees. This life is really hard for Ghanaians now but don't know what is even happening in other parts of the world. It all started six years ago.
There was a meteor shower that introduced some new substance into the atmosphere. This caused animals and plants tomutate but only few humans could mutate. Some abilities were common whiles others were few and very rare. Some have useful abilities while others are classified as useless but Vida don't believe in that theory because there is never any useless thing in this world but rather we humans don't know how to utilize it. Well she doesn't believe it but she is just a little shrimp whose word can't go far so who cares if she believes it or not.
Ghana is not big only six bases were built in Accra, Kumasi, takoradi,tamale,koforidua and cape coast. These six bases were the official bases while there are many smaller private bases. Some of the bases are good and others bad but the official ones are always a little better. I awakened my ability one year after the apocalypse and I really suffered before getting my ability but I was still too naive to assume I now knew human hearts well . The first was high temperatures that lasted for three years. I met my fiance in the Accra official base and was so happy not knowing that he only saw me as warehouse because my ability was space power with space of three hundred square meters at level one.
I really became his personal warehouse and helped him and his team for five years without even thinking of finding my family. I was pushed to block a mutant lion which was at level five and was at least ten meters high and fifteen meters long. We came out on a mission this time to look for a mutant that was said to be edible so that we can plant it ourselves or sell it to others to plant or eat. We are a team of twenty four with only three girls. I'm the warehouse of the team, Charlotte is a level three power type and is strong even though she is a girl. She fights better than the other level three power type men in the team. The other girl is Richard's girlfriend but I never knew and none of the team members told till now. I always assumed she was just a team member. I did everything for the team including washing their clothes, cooking and even distributing my own supplies I collected on the road to them.
Mercy has always been giving me bad attitude but I thought it was normal not be liked by one or more people when you are in a group after all I am not money or I should say food because money now is the most useless paper.
