Creating a potion wasn't as simple as throwing herbs into a cauldron. Each herb had to be dried, sorted by part, ground into powder, and then processed to extract its active ingredients. Those ingredients were then mixed with other medicinal substances and finally infused with mana—a process that required many complex steps.
"Wait… I didn't realize you couldn't just make potions from a single herb," Wataru said, surprised.
"That's because various components are needed to enhance the medicinal properties. For severe injuries, a regular potion often isn't enough. Think about it—if you were trampled by a horse or struck by a carriage, your body could end up in shambles. In those cases, a standard potion wouldn't be able to heal you fast enough," Stella explained matter-of-factly.
