Choosing a suitable gift for Lord Moïse was proving more difficult than Wataru had anticipated.
After all, Moïse was a high-ranking noble, a capable ruler, and the head of a territory. Most rare items from this world were things he could easily acquire on his own.
That made Earthly items the obvious choice. The challenge, however, lay in the uncertainty—something considered rare on Earth might not be special in this world and vice versa.
Take potions, for example; while rare on Earth, they were commonplace here. On the other hand, glass was rare enough in this realm that the kaleidoscope Wataru had gifted Moïse previously had been well received for its novelty.
"Hmm… maybe glass products are the safest option," Wataru mused. "What do you think, Marielle?"
"If you rely too much on glass, won't Lord Moïse just see you as a glassware merchant?" she pointed out.
