The property up for sale through the real estate company was nestled within the mountains in Osaka, close to Wakayama. Specifically, it lay among the hills bordering Izumisano City.
Driving along a dirt path dotted with patches of grass, Wataru arrived at a rustic, single-story house next to a large, weathered barn. Beyond it stretched a mountain range, wild and neglected, with dense clusters of trees growing unchecked in all directions. Some areas of the land had small open clearings, and a spring rumored to have natural, albeit minimal, water flow could be found nearby.
The house was basic but functional. Electricity was available, though gas had to be supplied through propane tanks, and water was drawn from a well. The barn was unusually spacious for personal use, and with nothing stored inside, it seemed even more cavernous.
