Chapter 130 - Elveen Slave

Rest followed one of General Edgar's men through the manor's grand halls, eventually arriving in a smaller but elegantly furnished chamber. It held an air of quiet refinement, in stark contrast to the more formal reception room from earlier. His guide retrieved a set of documents from a leather case, setting them neatly upon the table.

"These are the necessary documents for the slave transfer," the man explained, tapping the pile with a gloved hand. "The main points are as follows: in exchange for the rare spirits provided, as well as prior and ongoing supply commitments, General Edgar is ceding ownership of the alchemist slave. Note that only the slave herself is being transferred, not any alchemical equipment. Once signed, the full responsibility for her treatment falls to you."

Rest nodded and turned to Mariel. "Would you mind going over it, Mariel? I trust it's all as stated, but I'd appreciate your careful eye on the details."
