Wataru stood on the stairs, staring up at Vilt, who had unknowingly blocked his escape. There had to be a way out of this situation. Thinking quickly, he considered turning back and retracing his steps.
"Wataru, what's up?" Vilt asked.
"Ah, just remembered something I need to take care of," he replied casually.
"I thought you came back to the third floor for something?" Vilt pressed, her gaze narrowing suspiciously.
"Nope, not really. Just taking a stroll, you know?" Wataru tried to sound nonchalant, taking a step back toward the stairs.
But before he could descend, Vilt leaped over the railing, landing gracefully and blocking his way.
"Seriously? Can you move, please?" Wataru muttered, his attempt to escape now fully thwarted.
"You're acting strange today," Vilt noted.
"And you blocking my path for no reason isn't?" he retorted.
