A few days had passed since Wataru provided Minoru Wakai with the potion. Late one evening, Wataru's phone buzzed—it was Minoru on the other end.
"Thanks again for the potion," Minoru began, his voice smoother than ever. "I feel amazing. Honestly, my voice is even better than before."
"That's great to hear. When do you think you'll officially be back?"
"Still working on that. I'm in vocal training, and the label's rushing to fit me into the schedule. If all goes well, it'll be about two months."
Wataru grinned. "That's longer than I'd like, but I bet your fans will go nuts."
"The label sure is. They didn't expect me back so soon, so they're scrambling."
Wataru knew he wasn't the only one eager for Minoru's return. Just the memory of Minoru's karaoke performance had been incredible. With professional equipment, it would be on another level. He'd already secured himself a VIP ticket—no way he was missing it.
