Chapter 106 - A Voice Restored

(Wataru) sat at his desk the morning after his return to Earth, the faint hum of his laptop filling the room. He'd sent out replies late into the night to clear a backlog of messages, but he knew more would flood in by morning.

With a deep breath, he steadied himself. Stay calm. Handle everything logically.

He clicked on his email inbox, mentally bracing himself for the onslaught of unread messages. Sure enough, over thirty new emails had arrived overnight.

"Ugh..." Wataru groaned.

Beside him, Mariel, his otherworldly companion, observed him with mild amusement. "You seem to groan every time you look at that machine, my lord."

Wataru gave a half-smile. "It's not the machine—it's the emails. Thirty new ones already."

Managing requests for healing potions had become increasingly difficult, especially with growing demand from both the capital and outlying towns. Helping those in need was rewarding, but it weighed heavily on him.
