Chapter 1 - hahahaha

I laid my eyes on his skin; it glistened, a beauty that had never met my eyes once before-- has coveted me to desire more. His face, all seemed to be a blur, a vision that I would never reach.

I awoke in my odd cabin located on the northeastern continent, deep breaths exhaled from my mouth. Sweat seeped through my clothing; as I faced the mirror, the iconic crow mask I held dear kept on even in sleep-- there was never knowing who'd try to take a peak under. My hand reached outward; without my knowledge, reaching toward the light that he once held in his hands; a light dear enough to be cherished in a saint's grasp-- yet it was held in his. I couldn't help but to extend my arm, only to touch something that wasn't there.

I look outside of my window, tinted with a slight black to reduce visibility inside the cabin, remembering when I first met him. A forest, in the condensation of life near the cruel Ikarcian city-- running from the authorities after being accused of a false crime. No matter how I pleaded, the innocence held within me was denied by the iron fist of those who embraced the injustice that they could manipulate. And so, I ran, until I met him.

His stubble was uneven, his skin, olive and rough-- by no means attractive toward the conventional eye, yet to me, he was an angel. He ducked me into a set of bushes; hiding me as I felt his hands wrap around my chest. It felt like I was being cherished; desired for the first time, but that came to a swift end as our departure was sooner than I could even receive his name; only able to mutter a thanks in a silent, muttering tone as his footsteps trudged through the muddy rainforest.

No matter where I went, I wasn't able to meet him, as if he was an absent figure whose face never was seen on any surface of this forsaken land that was created to fool me into believing in false love, but I refuse to believe that he would disappear from my eyes only a few days later. I searched, from sea to city, from kingdom to house-- till I saw his ordinary, yet unordinary face.

"...Your hair is beautiful." I could only manage a few, carefully chosen words; nervous of his emotions toward me, his feelings that he could hold-- and afraid of my own, in doubt if he could return the endearing love I hold within my heart.

He chuckled, shutting his eyes, and letting out a light smirk-- "I know." His head turns a slight degree toward my own. I clench my fists, building up enough courage to start the beginning of a possible relationship; "What's your name...?" I manage to remark, stuttering midway despite the built-up confidence.

"Excalibra." He answers, a slight smile creasing his face.

"Yimmegir," I reply, looking in his eyes; as they sparkle with the sun, his face clear now.
