Chapter 38 - 38

I washed off the residue of the nap I took on my face and headed to the closet to get a change of clothes afterwards, knowing I was taking a bit too much time for someone who was still going to come back smelling like smoke. 

But I made it, getting the greenhouse with some drinks and water I had found in the fridge. The place was greatly lit by some light that had been placed in it. Somehow it looked even better than when the sun shone on it. 

He had a broad, bright smile on when I came in, holding freshly wrapped few up in a tray with excitement, "Took you long enough," he chuckled, "People don't usually get clean to come out for a smoke and just leave it for afterwards because of the smell. I'm glad to see you don't care about its smell."

"I do, in fact, I'm heading back in to take a proper shower after we're done. I just had to wash my face after my nap," I shrugged. 

"Was it a good nap?" He teased.
