The next day Abari had to leave to collect some herbs from the forest and since she could not leave Binaru alone in the state he was in David had to stay behind to watch him as she felt more comfortable leaving David alone with Binaru now knowing that Binaru would not hurt him.
She also hoped that he would tell David about the horrors he had experienced in his time as a Golden Dragon Guard, hoping that upon hearing those stories he would be discouraged to leave.
David who was now alone with Binaru was free to ask him any question and Abari was there to stop him.
"Who are you?" asked David.
Binaru just smiled before answering David's question, saying, "My name is Binaru and I'm a Golden Dragon Guard".
"What is Golden Dragon Guard?" asked David.
Binaru smiled once more before answering David's question, find David's curiosity amusing.
"The Golden Dragon Guards are a group of dragon warrior who had taken an oath to fight and protect the worlds from the dark dragon warriors" said Binaru.
David upon hearing the words 'dark dragon warrior' began to feel as though he had those words before even Abari had never told him anything about the dark dragon warriors, never even speaking the words 'dark dragon warrior' in his presence.
"Dark dragon warriors, who are they?" asked David.
Binaru sighed, not knowing how to describe the dark dragon warriors to David, as the only words he could use to describe them were as vile, terrible monsters that only brought chaos and destruction to where ever they went.
"Some dragon warriors are not like you, me or even Abari, some are cruel and heartless, craving only to destroy and cause pain and misery, those are who we call dark dragon warriors" said Binaru.
Upon hearing what Binaru said about the dark dragon warriors a memory flashed from within David's mind, given him a small glimpse of his forgotten past.
In the memory David was running deep in the forest at night and was being chase by a group of dragon warriors who rode their dragons high up in the above him.
The dragon warriors soon caught up to him, surrounding him with their dragons and blocking all paths he could have used to run.
The man who led the dragon warriors then came down from his dragon; he was a fire dragon warrior who wore black armor and crust of a dark dragon on the chest of his armor.
He smiled at David before slowly approaching but before he could reach him David memory became unclear and fogy once again.
"David, are you okay?" asked Binaru what had been watching David the past few moments as he drifted deep into his mind.
"I'm fine" said David with a smile to reassure Binaru that he was alright.
"Can you tell me more about the dark dragon warriors" asked David.
Binaru sighed once more, not wanting to continue to tell David more about the dark dragon warriors, he wanted to refuse but upon seeing the eagerness in David's face he felt persuaded to continue even though he did not want to.
"The dark dragon warriors are servants of the Dark Dragon Lord, a very power dragon warrior" said Binaru.
"Abari has told me about him back when we first met, he is one of the only two dragon warriors that possesses the power of all four elements right," said David.
"Correct, he once led an army of dark dragon warriors and attempted to conquer and rule the entire world but he failed and was defeated by the Golden Dragon warrior, the only person that possessed a power that comatched the Dark Dragon Lord" said Binaru.
"After the Dark Dragon Lord was defeated, his army of dark dragon warriors was expected to fall with him but they didn't. Somehow the dark dragon warriors still managed to survive and continued from where their master stopped, spreading chaos and misery were ever they went" said Binaru.
"Oh" said David with a look of both fear and sadness on his face, wondering how people as cruel and wicked like the dark dragon warriors existed.
"The Golden Dragon Guard was created by the four Golden Dragon Generals to deal with the threat of dark dragon warriors" said Binaru.
"Golden Dragon Generals, who are they?" asked David.
Binaru smiled once again at David's curiosity before saying, "you are quite the curious boy aren't you".
David just smiled upon hearing what Binaru said, wanting nothing more than for him to continue the story.
"It's not that I'm curious, I just want to know more about the world, I've been staying in the house for a very long time seeing nothing but a small part of the world I live in," said David.
Binaru just smiled at David upon hearing what he had to say, understanding that his curiosity came from a longing to see the world.
"The Golden Dragon Generals are the four dragon warriors who fought alongside the Golden Dragon warrior, James Finiton the dragon general of fire, Eric Owin the dragon general of earth, Marina Finiton the dragon general of water and finally Victor Supriyi the dragon general of air. They created the Golden Dragon Guards after the Golden dragon warrior fell defeating the Dark Dragon Lord all those years ago" said Binaru.
"Wow, I can't believe it, so much has happened and I knew nothing about it" said David with his head bowed down, unable to believe that there was some much going on in the world outside.
Binaru, not wanting to continue the conversation about the dark dragon warriors as he did not wish to speak more about them decide d to change the conversation.
"You have quite the curious mind David" said Binaru.
"Yeah, Abari doesn't really like that about me, I think she is worried that it would get some kind of trouble because of it" said David.
"True in the wrong circumstances you could but in the right ones it may make you one of the greatest dragon warriors to ever live" said Binaru.
"You really think so" said David with smile on his, wondering if it was truly possible for him to be one of the greatest dragon warriors to ever live.
"Yes, I do. Tell me child do you know anything about the Dragon Academy" asked Binaru, thinking about how a promising young dragon warrior like himself could accomplish great things through the right guidance and the Dragon Academy may be the idlest of places for him to do so.
"Dragon Academy, what is that?" asked David, not knowing what the Dragon Academy was.
"It's like a boarding school for young promising dragon warriors like you. There you can learn all you need to know about dragon warriors like I and yourself, including the vast history of the dragon warriors" said Binaru.
David lit up with excitement upon hearing what Binaru said about the Dragon Academy.
Binaru smiled upon seeing the excited look on David's face.
"You know; I could take you there if you want, that is after I recover. It's a bit far from here but we can get there within a day's time if we go by dragon" said Binaru.
David thought for a moment, the offer to go to place where he could learn more about himself and the rich history behind dragon warriors was a tempting offer but taking it would mean leaving Abari.
David felt torn, the offer Binaru made if he accepted would be his chance to not only see a world but also know more about it through the Dragon Academy but if he accepted, he would have to leave Abari behind and after every she had done for him, providing a home and taking care of him for the past few years, how could he just leave her but then an again Binaru's offer might be the only chance he had to see the world.
Binaru could see that David was struggling to make a decision and understood David had to choose between fulfilling his greatest wish or to leave someone you truly cared about.
"Don't make a decision so soon David, take your time and think long and hard about it. I see great promise in you and would love it you were to accept my offer but I would also your decision if you decide to refuse it" said Binaru, not wanting to put pressure on David.
"Alright, I'll think about it" said David before he made his way to the door, wanting to leave to think more about the choice he was to make concerning Binaru's offer.
"David" said Binaru stopping David in his tracks.
"The responsibility place upon me as Golden Dragon Guard may not allow come back to you to make this offer again, I am only telling you this so you will understand that the offer I'm making to you might never come again" said Binaru.
David just sighed upon hearing what Binaru said leaving the room.
David spent the rest of the day in his room, thinking look and hard about the offer Binaru made him, understanding fully well it may never come again.
Soon the evening can and the sun be dim as it slowly made it's was down, giving way to the darkness of the night.
Abari had just arrived, coming home late because David was not with her to help her pick the herd in forest.
Soon it was time for dinner and Abari arrived at the dinner table after taking some food to Binaru only to see David seated on the dinner table barely touching the food on his plate.
"What's wrong David, aren't hungry?" asked Abari wondering why David wasn't eating his food.
"No, it's just that, I'm just thinking about something," said David.
"About?" asked Abari.
"Nothing, it's not important" said David, not wanting to tell her about the offer Binaru made, knowing it would break her heart if she knew he was considering leaving her.
"Wow, that was a very convincing lie" said Abari sarcastically, not believing what David said.
"Now seriously, what's wrong and don't lie to me" said Abari.
David sighed knowing he could lie to her but if he told her the truth it would hurt her.
David, not wanting to hurt Abari or lie to her decided to tell her the truth in a way she would not understand and know about Binaru's offer.
"What if you had to make a choice between two things that were very important to you but could only choose one of them" asked David.
"Well, it depends, what are the two things?" asked Abari.
"A dream and a person really close to you," said David.
"Where is this coming from David?" said Abari upon hearing what David said, wondering why David was thinking about making such a decision.
"Nowhere, I was just wondering that's all" said David, hoping that Abari believes his lie this time.
"Hmm" said Abari, think for a few moments.
"Well, it depends then on who the person is, how important they are to you and what the dream is and how important it is to you" said Abari.
"And if this person is the most important person in your life but the dream is something that you really want and you have an opportunity to get it but the opportunity won't last long and once it's gone; it's gone for good," said David.
"Hmm, well then I would say then it all depends on the person making the decision, he should think about the person and the dream, and then decide on which one is more important to him, the dream or the person than make a decision based on that" said Abari.
David just sighed upon hearing Abari's answer as it didn't really help decide.
"Thanks, Abari" said David with a weak smile on his face before turning his attention to his food and began to eat.
After eating David went to bed with a deep sigh as he still hadn't decided on whether or not he would take Binaru's offer.
He didn't want to Abari but at the same time he wanted to go the Dragon Academy to learn more about himself and the world, it was his chance to leave the village and explore the world, a chance if he didn't take, he feared would never come again.
David decided to sleep, hoping that by morning the next day when he wakes up, he would be able to make a decision.
