A flash of bright, blue light manifested in the center of the room, engulfing Corina's body. She jumped back and placed her hands on her hips. She looked up as the light disappeared.
Suddenly, her body felt tingly, and her heart was racing. She felt anxiety building up inside of her as she clutched her chest. "I don't feel well."
"You didn't die immediately, so you're fine," the fairy smirked and folded his arms. "It'll just take a minute or two and you'll feel normal."
"What happened?"
"You made a pact with me," the fairy replied. "So, now we're bound together until you die."
"And?"
"It means I can freely use my powers."
"Weird," Corina muttered. "Wait!" She exclaimed. "You haven't even told me your name."
"Orion," the fairy said as he bowed.
"Thank you. I would introduce myself, but you seem to know who I am already. Somehow."
