Corina pushed her palms against the display case inside the bakery down in the village. Her eyes narrowed on a beautiful, fluffy, golden brown pastry in the shape of a horn with small amounts of chocolate on the end of it, which she assumed filled the interior of a buttery crust.
"What is this one called? You didn't have this last time."
"It's a chocolate cornet," Gordon stated. "Would you like to try one?"
"Yes!" Corina nodded.
"I won't charge you. I've received more than enough business from the duke lately. My treat."
Corina pressed her nose against the case as she watched him pull out one of the pastries. The man placed it on the counter and pointed at the princess. "Please. Get your lips off my pastry case."
Corina blushed and pulled back. "Sorry. I was just so excited."
