A day without official duties was always a blessing, and it would more likely end up being one of the few days in which Alexander wasn't required to attend to his duties as Duke of Mystic. Since assuming the position, Alexander had not had a single day free.
Corina began to think as she and Alexander walked back to the room. They had just had the evening meal. However, her mind began to wander to the thing he had not revealed to her. She understood that he needed time to process his emotions and find a way to discuss them, but it dawned on her that Helga had some knowledge of the situation, while she did not. Did it somehow involve his childhood friend? Was this the reason he didn't marry Helga? Or was it an entirely different situation?
