"Congratulations, Alexander and Corina Frostbloom!" King Gerald smiled to the young couple who walked into the ballroom.
Corina glanced around and noticed tons of people already eating and socializing. A group of talented musicians played a variety of instruments, including flutes, violins, and even a lute, while a few people danced in the center.
"Thank you," Alexander replied, his cheeks dusted in a pink hue.
"Yes," Arden agreed. "The reception was..." He paused and looked to his sister. "Interesting."
Corina lowered her gaze to stare at the marbled floor. She felt it could have gone a lot better, but she was happy to be married to Alexander. There wasn't a single person in the world she'd rather have been with. She felt a tremendous sense of belonging next to him, even if she weren't quite a conventional wife.
"I'm starving," Lazarus interjected, staring at a cart full of food on the other side of the room. "Can we eat? Is it allowed?"
