The night was still, except for the crackling of the campfire that threw flickering shadows over the small clearing. The jet was grounded nearby, smoke gently rising from where Storm and Jean had managed to guide it into a somewhat safe landing. Logan leaned against a tree, pulling out his phone, his mind still reeling from the chaotic events of the day. His thumb hovered for a moment before he pressed call and waited.
"Darlin', it's me," he said, his voice gruff but softer than usual. "We're safe for now. Got the jet down. We're camped out in some clearing. Somehow Magneto helped us out. Look, we need to meet up. Stryker's after something bigger than we thought."
"Thank god Sugar, what did Magneto wanted this time?" Marie asked, her voice coming through the line calm but urgent.
"Beats me, but he seems to have info regarding our situation," Logan grunted. "We're headin' your way soon. Keep an eye on everyone, alright? I don't trust this to be over yet. Not with Magneto butting his head in this now."
"Understood," Marie responded, her tone betraying her worriedness for her family. "Stay safe. I love you."
"Yeah, you too. I love you too." Logan hung up, shoving the phone into his jacket pocket before moving closer to the fire where Jean and Storm sat, their expressions shadowed and weary.
Magneto and Mystique were across from them, the firelight dancing off Erik's steely eyes. It made Logan's skin and bones crawl that they had to even sit near them, but they needed information.
And right now, Magneto knew more than anyone else.
Magneto sat calmly, his voice slicing through the quiet like a blade. "It seems you already knew Stryker was behind all of this," he said, his tone almost casual, but Logan wasn't buying the calm facade.
Logan settled in, "What do you think he's up to?" he asked, nodding toward Magneto.
"When Stryker invaded your mansion, he stole an essential piece of its hardware."
"Cerebro?"
Magneto nodded slowly, his gaze distant. "He wanted Cerebro. Or enough of it to build one of his own."
Jean's eyes widened. "But Stryker would need the Professor to operate it…"
Magneto gave a grim nod. "...Which is the only reason I believe Charles is still alive."
"Now, what are you all so afraid of?" Logan glanced at Magneto, still didn't fully trust him.
"While Cerebro is working, Charles' mind is connected to every living person on the planet."
Magneto's face hardened, the bitterness in his voice returning. "If he were forced to concentrate hard enough on a particular group..." His gaze swept over the group, lingering on Logan's skeptical glare before continuing. "let's say, mutants, for example..."
"He could kill us all…" Jean and Storm gasped at the realisation from Magneto words.
Logan's patience snapped. "How the hell would Stryker know where Cerebro is? Or how it works?"
Magneto's gaze flickered for just a moment. He hesitated, then slowly raised a hand to the back of his neck, rubbing the small, circular scar. His expression darkened, his jaw tightening with something that resembled... shame? It was a rare sight, and for a moment, Logan almost pitied the man.
"Because I told him," Magneto admitted, his voice laced with bitter resignation.
Logan's eyes narrowed, fists clenched.
"You told him?" he growled, voice low and dangerous.
Magneto's eyes turned cold again, masking whatever momentary vulnerability he'd shown. "Stryker has... methods of persuasion," he continued, his tone measured, as if choosing his words carefully.
"Even against someone as strong as Charles."
Logan's jaw tightened, his claws itching beneath his skin. "Why do you need us?"
"Mystique has discovered plans of a base that Stryker's been operating out of for decades.,"
Magneto responded calmly. "We know that's where he's building the second Cerebro. But, we don't know where this base is..."
Magneto's cold blue eyes scanned the group. "But I believe one of you might."
He looked pointedly at Logan, suspicion written all over his face. Logan stiffened under the scrutiny, but before he could snap back with his usual gruff retort, Wade's voice chimed in from above, cutting through the tension like a knife through butter.
"Pssfft. I know where it is!"
Logan's eyes shot up, and there was Wade, hanging upside down from a tree branch, swinging his legs like he was on a jungle gym. Kurt hung nearby, his tail wrapped securely around another branch, watching the conversation with wide-eyed curiosity.
"You know where Stryker's base is?" Logan growled, his irritation palpable. His kids gonna gave him a grey hair earlier. He was sure of it.
Wade flipped himself down gracefully, landing on the ground with a dramatic flourish. "Of course I do! I've been overstaying there for like a third of my life! Stryker's probably hiding out at the Alkali Lake facility where I was detained before. You know, the one where I made my daring escape with Ken and Laura? Good times, good times."
Logan frowned, trying to piece together Wade's words. "Me and Rogue went there before. It's a wasteland."
Wade rolled his eyes so hard it was a miracle they didn't fall out of his head. "So that's where you go on your last mission! Of course it's a wasteland! The facility is now an underground facility! You and Mom practically blew up the first top half of the place last time you were there, duh!" He crossed his arms, looking proud of himself. "Why do you think I've got such a knack for explosions, huh? The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Now, you probably wish you should have brought me over, I knew the backdoor of that place like fish to the water!"
Logan blinked, taking in Wade's words. The realization hit him like a ton of bricks.
"Well, I didn't blow the lab part up when I escaped as much as I hope I could. Well, I did try! I made a mess, yes—classic Deadpool style—but nothing permanent like when both of you escaped. Now, thats an explosion! Because of you, they didn't leave me without enough explosives in the armory to blew up that base. So, I had to improvise a little!" Wade continued, as if this was the most obvious thing in the world.
Magneto looked unimpressed, eyeing Wade with thinly veiled skepticism. "And do you think he was in the same facilities as before? The one that you were in? You know not that everything is about you."
Wade folded his arms, looking offended. "Oh, come on! He eyeing me like a Pedo finding a kindergarten near him! I'm his most success experiment after all! He wanted me! So, like an ego fucker he was, he probably used that facility to lure me out too! Also, I am the MC here, bitch!"
Jean shot Wade an unsure glance before turning to Kurt. "Kurt," she said softly, "I need to read your memories. To be certain."
"Oi, oi, oi! I'm totally trustworthy. Well, like, 80% of the time. The other 20% is just me getting creative. No need to mind-rape my new best-friend here!"
"I am only looking Wade, we didn't knew for sure that he still uses that facility. You did say you blew up some of it."
Kurt nodded, a little apprehensive, but he stepped forward and allowed Jean to place her hands on his temples. Her eyes fluttered closed, and for a moment, the only sound was the gentle crackling of the fire.
After a few moments, Jean's eyes snapped open, her expression grim. "He's telling the truth. Stryker's at Alkali Lake. The underground facility is still operational."
Logan cursed under his breath. It wasn't over. Stryker had more up his sleeve than any of them realized.
"We should move out soon," Storm said, standing up and brushing the dirt from her pants. "We don't have much time."
Magneto's lips curled into a satisfied smirk. "Then it's settled."
Logan wasn't so sure. His distrust of Magneto simmered, but there was a bigger fight ahead, and he'd deal with that soon enough. For now, Stryker was the priority.
"Alright, let's get to Rogue and Hank," Logan said, his voice firm. "We're going back to Alkali Lake."
Wade, of course, wasn't done. He sidled up to Logan with a cheeky grin. ""See!!! I told you I am trustworthy! I don't just blow everything up!"
Logan gave Wade a look, half annoyed, half amused. "Just don't get any ideas, kid."
Wade smirked. "Too late."

The X-Jet touched down on the sprawling grounds of a mansion that looked like it had jumped straight out of a history textbook—a picture-perfect blend of gothic architecture and the kind of opulence that made you feel like you should apologize for even breathing near it. Wade stared at it, slack-jawed. No freaking way... ITS THAT ANGEL?
(WHOHOOOO!!! Another X-Men! This is why I like a fanfic, there is no need to worry about a budget to hire an actor for every X-Men!)
It is really convenient…
As the group approached the front steps, the heavy oak doors swung open, revealing Warren Worthington III, also known as Angel. He stood there, wings folded neatly behind him, looking as majestic as ever—but with an edge of wariness. His gaze swept over Magneto with the kind of tension you'd expect from someone who knew the man's past a little too well.
Jean stepped forward, a warm smile on her face. "Warren, it's been a while."
Storm nodded in greeting. "It's good to see you again."
Warren's eyes softened at the sight of them, but when they flickered to Magneto, they hardened again. "Jean. Storm. Always a pleasure." His voice was polite, but his eyes never left the man in the helmet. "I see you've brought some... interesting company."
Wade, of course, was vibrating with excitement. "ANGEL!" he shouted, practically jumping out of his skin. "Dude, you're Angel! I've literally got your action figure in my room!" Before he could launch into a full-blown fanboy rant, Jubilee's hand came down hard on his shoulder, dragging him back.
(Oooh, ease off cowboy!)
You really need to start to act like actual fanfic character dude, not a fanboy every time new character show up!
'If I had a nickel on why I fanboying every time I saw new X-Men in this fanfic, I had two nickel, which isn't a lot but it was weird that it happened twice right?'
We done that jokes already.
(Hey, be easy on him, the author made him that way!)
"Okay, fanboy, calm down," Jubilee said, her voice dripping with amusement. "We don't need another one of your 'I'm-so-excited-I-forgot-how-to-breathe' moments."
Wade pouted but shut up, muttering something about how people didn't appreciate enthusiasm anymore.
Rogue appeared from behind Warren, her eyes lighting up the moment she saw Wade and Ken.
"Hey, sugah," she greeted warmly, pulling him and Ken into a tight hug. "Missed ya."
"Mom!" Wade exclaimed, hugging her back like he hadn't seen her in years. Then he scooped up
Laura, who came running over. "And My Little Munchkin! Did you miss me?"
(Very dangerous munchkin!)
Really hope the author wouldn't fridging them anywhere in the future…
'Well, he did claim he was not like the spiderman author… especially the one that created, Urgh! Paul...'
Laura smirked, her newfound ability to form coherent sentences allowing her to retort, "Miss you? Hardly." But the smile on her face said otherwise. Ken just snorted at her remarks to Wade.
Peter and Kitty approached next. Peter grinned, his awkward charm ever-present. "Hey, man, long time no see."
"Peter!" Wade exclaimed, grabbing him into an overly dramatic bear hug. "I missed you, bro!"
Peter patted him on the back, looking slightly amused and mildly suffocated. "Yeah, I missed you too... Wade. Air. Please."
"Right, right, sorry!" Wade released him and turned to Kitty with a cheeky grin. "Hello Kitty! So, you're also here… "
(Cih, We're getting bro-blocked again!)
She was our bestfriend's girlfriend! Of course, we gonna be cock-blocked!
(Classic bestfriend girlfriend situation! She should be the Steve one not us!)
Kitty smirked, crossing her arms. "Hello to you too, Wade."
As the kids started filing inside the mansion, Magneto hung back, watching the interaction with a distant look, though his mind was clearly elsewhere—probably on Stryker, or Cerebro, or whatever evil mastermind plans for mutant supremacy were rolling around in his head.
Once they were inside, the plan was simple: drop off the younger mutant—that's also include him somehow—while the others prepared for the next leg of their mission. But naturally, Wade had other ideas.
Go get 'em, tiger!
(Yeah! There is no way they'll leave Deadpool out of the action!!!)
As they started heading back toward the jet, Wade jogged up behind them, arms outstretched in protest. "Seriously? Benched again?" he whined. "We could totally help! Look at us—we're basically unstoppable."
Rogue raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. "You're gonna help Hank keep an eye on the kids. Someone's gotta make sure they are safe and sounds."
Logan, who had been ignoring the conversation for the most part, finally chimed in. "Let's be real here, Rogue. If we don't let him come, he's gonna sneak aboard the jet, blow up the mansion out of spite, and follow us anyway."
Wade's eyes sparkled. "Exactly! You know me so well, Pops!!!"
Magneto, surprisingly, nodded in agreement. "He's right. We'll need all the power we can get." He glanced at Pyro and Bobby. "Those two should come as well. We'll need their talents."
Bobby looked startled, and Pyro's eyes gleamed with excitement. "You hear that? They finally need us. Told you I wasn't just a fire hazard!"
And before anyone could stop them, Peter and Kitty stepped forward, clearly intending to join the team. Peter, the ever-optimist, shrugged. "Someone's gotta keep Wade and Pyro from setting the whole world on fire."
Storm raised an eyebrow. "You two coming as well?"
Kitty sighed but gave a resolute nod. "Yeah, and someone's gotta keep him from doing something stupid with them somehow."
"Hey! I could totally keep an eye on myself!"
"Last time we let you, you blew up the mansion!"
Ouch, can't argue with that!
(You lost dude! Hah! You get two babysitter!)
"I'll stay behind," Warren Worthington III announced. "Someone needs to help Hank to keep an eye on the kids."
"I'll stay behind too!" Jubilee exclaimed suddenly, too sudden if you ever ask Wade.
"Hey, Jubes! You sure you don't wanna join the X-team, kick names, and take ass?" Wade's mischievous voice cut through the air.
Jubilee groaned and rolled her eyes. "Nah, I'm good, thanks. I've had enough drama and action for one lifetime," she said, waving a hand dismissively. "Besides, someone's gotta stick around with Wa—younger children." Her voice faltered just a bit when she said children, and Wade, being the observant chaos gremlin that he was, definitely noticed.
A slow grin spread across his face as he put two and two together. "Ah, I see. You're staying to only 'keep an eye on children,' huh?"
Jubilee's eyes widened, and she quickly turned away, crossing her arms in an attempt to seem nonchalant. "Shut it Wade, I don't wanna get involved in any more missions right now, okay? I had enough these two days."
"Mhm," Wade hummed, clearly unconvinced. He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a dramatic whisper. "Just so we're clear, he's twenty and you are still sixteen, Jubes. Let's try to keep those heart-eyes under control, alright?"
(Dude, you also had a crush on Storm remember! She was like 27 or something!)
Hypocrite much?
'Well, Storm is different okay! I am also a lot older inside!'
Are you tho?
(Doubt it!)
Jubilee scowled at him. "Wade, shut up."
"Hey, I'm just lookin' out for one of my favorite X-Men, didn't want false allegation came out or something."
Jubilee's face turned bright red as she smacked him on the arm. "Oh my God, stop! That's not even—ugh!"
Wade held up his hands, laughing. "Fine, fine! I'm just saying, you're not fooling anyone, Jubes. I can literally see the love sparkles in your eyes."
(Her eyes is looking like heart sometimes.)
Sometimes, teenage girls scared me.
Jubilee groaned again, covering her face. "You're the worst."
Wade flashed her a cheeky grin, "Yeah, but you love me for that."
With that, Jubilee threw her hands up in the air, stomping back toward the mansion, and Wade could've sworn she muttered something about setting his voltron collections on fire if he didn't stop embarrassing her. He chuckled to himself, glancing back at Warren, who was completely oblivious to the exchange and still focused on getting the kids organized.
"Well," Wade muttered to himself, "looks like this night just got a whole lot more interesting."
Logan, overhearing the whole thing, shook his head and sighed. "We need to get movin' before this gets even more outta hand."
With the younger mutants staying behind and the X-Jet ready to go, the rest of the team geared up for the next phase of their mission. Wade, of course, still grinning from ear to ear, couldn't resist giving Jubilee one last wink before boarding the jet.
"Behave!" he called out.
Jubilee flipped him off without even turning around, which only made Wade grin wider.
(She really loves us!!!)
Yeah, no, I don't think so.

The Blackbird hummed as it cut through the night sky, its sleek form gliding effortlessly through the clouds. Inside, Logan sat at the controls, his mind focused, but not exactly calm. Marie sat beside him, doing her best to monitor the instruments while keeping an eye on him—Logan's idea of "careful flying" was slightly more reckless than she preferred.
In the back of the jet, the others were scattered about. Jean and Storm were reviewing some last-minute details on Stryker's whereabouts with everyone. Wade, of course, was leaning against the walls from his seat behind them, humming some nonsensical tune to himself, looking far too relaxed given the circumstances.
Logan's eyes flicked up to the rearview monitor, the tiny screen giving him a glance at the cabin.
"Everyone's settled back there?"
Marie nodded, but her face scrunched up in thought. "Yeah, but... somethin' don't feel right. Wade's too quiet."
Logan glanced over at her, raising an eyebrow. "Too quiet? He's always makin' noise. Weird."
Marie crossed her arms, turning her head back to where Wade was lounging. "That's what Ah mean. It's too quiet."
Logan's eyes narrowed suspiciously. He glanced back at the controls, then at Marie again, clearly thinking the same thing. "I'll go check it out," he muttered, unbuckling himself and standing up from the pilot's seat after setting the autopilot. He made his way to where Wade sit, and Marie followed closely behind.
As they approached Wade, who was still lazily reclining like he didn't have a care in the world, Logan crossed his arms, fixing him with a hard stare. "Wade."
Wade looked up innocently, blinking. "Yes, Daddy dearest?"
Logan ignored the quip, his eyes narrowing. "You're actin' suspiciously quiet. What are you up to?"
Wade's face broke into a devilish grin, like a kid who'd just been caught sneaking cookies before dinner. "Oh, nothing. Just enjoying the peace and quiet for once."
Marie snorted. "Yeah, right. Since when do you 'enjoy the quiet'? Spill it."
Wade sighed dramatically. "Oh, fine. But before you both freak out—just remember, this was totally worth it."
Logan and Marie exchanged a confused glance before Wade raised his hand and snapped his fingers. Instantly, the shadows in the back of the jet shifted, pulling back like a curtain being drawn.
And there, huddled together behind the cargo seats, were none other than Ken and Laura—looking far too smug for a couple of kids who had definitely been smuggled onto the Blackbird without anyone's knowledge.
"Hey, Mom!" Laura chirped, waving.
Ken grinned. "Sup?"
Marie's jaw dropped as she stared at her kids, wide-eyed. "Oh mah God! Logan—how did you—Wade!"
Logan, on the other hand, just pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a low growl. "Wade. What the fuck? Why did you bring them?"
"Language! Ohh! Always wanted to say that!" Wade grinned sheepishly. "Look, they just wanted to help! And, come on, Dad—you can't really be mad about this. We all know Ken and Laura can handle themselves!" He spread his arms out like he'd pulled off the greatest trick in the world.
Marie threw her hands up. "You smuggled your siblings onto a freakin' mission, Wade!"
Laura pouted, crossing her arms. "I'm not just any normal kid, Mom. I can fight and have claws."
Ken nodded in agreement. "Yeah! And Wade promised we'd stick together. He wasn't gonna leave us behind again!"
Wade folded his arms, looking very pleased with himself. "See? Solid reasoning."
Logan wasn't having it. "Yer supposed to be lookin' out for them, not draggin' them into a war zone!"
Wade winced, just slightly, realizing he might've hit a nerve. "Okay, okay, yeah, I get it. It's not like we could turn around right now…"
Logan's brow furrowed as he fixed Wade with a hard stare. He eventually just sighed at both Wade,
Ken, and Laura trying to do puppies eyes at him. Dammit! That little fuck—.
"Okay, but you guys are in charge of protecting the jet."
"Logan—!"
"BUUTTT DAAAADDD—!!!"
"Sorry, its final. I'm sorry Darlin', but we couldn't exactly turn around the jet right now, We are close by the lake already and Chuck didn't have much time."
Before the moment could get more heated, a familiar bamf sound echoed through the jet, and suddenly, Kurt was standing next to them, his yellow eyes glowing faintly.
"I believe ve are needed up front?" Kurt said in his thick German accent.
Wade shrugged, still holding onto Ken. "Kurt, man, you need to train me on this Bamf Bamf thing after this!"
Ken gave Wade a knowing look. "Dude, no. You've been teleporting like crazy for the last two days. You know what happens when you overexert yourself."
Wade rolled his eyes. "I didn't vomit that bad."
Ken shot him a look. "You turned like a jellyfish the last time you tried teleporting after pushing yourself too hard! I didn't like seeing your body inside out dude! Gross!"
Wade just grinned, giving his little brother another playful shove. "Details, details. Besides, I believe my teleporting stamina is kinda full now. No jellyfish moments for me."
Before Marie could chime in with another scolding to them, the cockpit alarms went off, drawing
Logan's attention back to the controls.
"Alright, enough of this. Everyone buckle in—we're here."
