Chapter 5 - Memories

Having woken up, I was currently eating my breakfast, a modest fruit salad that would suffice for the next few hours.

Having processed the memories I had obtained one more time, this time properly, I had a rough idea of what the power system in this world was like.

It was a bunch of different power systems combined all under the name of supers, with your inherent power system being decided by the planet itself upon your birth. Any attempts to try growing in power using a different system would simply fail, and more often than not end up in a gruesome manner if someone pushes their luck too far.

As a side note, you could be proficient in multiple systems at birth, so you could end up having a massive advantage over other people who only had one single power.

The good thing is though, those that usually focus too much on multiple systems and don't stick to their main one end up getting punished for their folly, growing at one point too old to advance in power.

As for the power systems the supers had, there were roughly 6 major categories and one special category.

The first one and the by far most common one is having a superpower. For example, the sister of this body can emit a weak fire from her hands, enough to light up a candle or start a small fire in a forest. Others can fly, release sound waves from their bodies, control movements and many other interesting things.

The second most common one is simple body enhancements. Through rigorous training their bodies gradually grow tougher and tougher, while getting the ability to split mountains later on. Although most of them will only ever be cannon fodder who can be discarded at will.

The third most common one is Qi/Chakra manipulation, with them having a wide variety of techniques to deal with different issues. Other than the techniques they had to practice, they also had to break through stages. The trade off for such an annoying method is a far larger amount of utility, with them being capable of crafting equipment easily.

Then come the mana based users. Far different than qi cultivators who have to break through stages to grow in power, these guys simply need to keep improving their techniques and increasing their total mana amount to achieve similar results. Another class that can swim in money due to their ability to craft equipment for others.

Even rarer than them are the summoners, which, although they have semi-immortal summons that can only get killed temporarily while the summoner is alive, have a very hard time getting stronger due to their summons limits. Evolving a summon was incredibly rare, and getting a replacement summon was the norm.

Then come the ones who bind weapons to their souls, the Weaponmasters. Absolute control over a weapon, together with them being capable of enhancing their weapons characteristic, for example the sharpness of a sword, made them usually strong among supers of the same grade. Their bodies also grew stronger as their bond to the weapon increased, with higher grade weapons potentially allowing them to inherit some characteristics.

As for specialists, they were those who didn't fit in with any of the above power systems, with no rules set up to be classified for it other than not meeting the above criteria.

Out of all those systems, my body didn't have the aptitude for any of them, with only faint potential for an unknown superpower that would probably be of the lowest quality.

As for trying to practice any of the techniques I know of, the chance of the World Will finding out is far too big. If it, at any point, even suspected me of having tried to strengthen myself, I would probably either explode or be thrown into the vacuum of space where I cant survive just yet.

So until I get off this stupid rock I cannot go about strengthening myself freely, and have to play by the even more stupid rules that were set up, from what I'm guessing, to deal with reincarnators.

...And the other similar beings that are actually fairly dangerous to a world, which would just slip in undetected, before they would start draining the world of its vitality.

Mmm... Whatever. I'll worry about things later on, instead I should try to just get into the university normally.

Looking at the school uniform of the 7th Knox high-school that I wore, it didn't look too bad. Red jacket with black pants and necktie. Originally I thought I would end up having to squeeze into them with my current build but even that was taken care of by them, and it fit me perfectly.

Looking at the me in the mirror, I opened my mouth slowly.

"I am Rymgrand the Tyrant. I am also Avrith Kal."

Checking the time on my phone, I saw that it was 7:46 in the morning. Grabbing my bag, I put on my shoes, and after locking the apartment I went to catch the bus.

The bus station wasn't that far away from my house, so after a small walk of less than two minutes, I was waiting for the bus to arrive.

Soon enough, with the sounds of the engine in the distance, that came closer and closer, the bus showed up. A large square bus, with seats on top of it for a leisurely cruising experience during the warmer months of the year.

Yet it was August already, so I simply sat at the very back of the near empty bus.

The school commute is 12 kilometers, so the time spent traveling in the bus wasn't too long. After an odd fifteen minutes of traveling, I got off at the usual station and started heading towards the high school.

The orange colored school building, that was a complex of a few hundred meters in diameter, greeted me as usual. The 7th Hi, as its commonly called, was one of the best high schools in the country, with countless talented young people attending this institution.

White marble floors as far as the eye could see, with the walls having two colors that symbolised the flag of the country. The red color, upon which rested a royal purple, symbolised the blood of countless people that was spilled defending their country, as a reminder to the descendants that a ll they had was due to the brave efforts of their ancestors resisting countless invasions.

As for the purple, it symbolised the Avalon royal family of the country, who has led this country since its founding, thousands of years ago.

Passing through the hallways and making my way up the stairs, I arrived in front of the classroom, familiar yet so different.

Sitting down at my usual spot, I was the first one to arrive in the empty classroom. There still was more than 40 minutes until class would start, and since I didn't recall any other buses slightly later than this one, I stuck to the usual routine.

Now, while Avrith originally would sleep, I kept combing through more and more of my memories.

There was a difference between being told something, and having paid attention to it enough to comprehend it.

So, like that, I finally realised yet another slight problem with my memories.

Massive even, as I recalled nothing of my everyday life, or people I was friends with. It was as if all the memories related to interaction with others, and all the info about myself, like my preferences for food or what not, were completely wiped out.

In other words, I roughly had 4 types of memories that I recalled.

The first one, combat memories that showed how I fought in my previous life. Whether it was how to use magic, how to fight using your body, how teleport around, and many others.

'Wait... This isn't right, I was someone who punched people to death for most of my life, its only at the end that something about that... Changed?' straining to recall and puzzle together the fragments of my memories I had, I kept racking my brains.

'I never used weapons, powers or magic, or whatever else, so what are these memories? Are they fake...'

'No, not possible.' I threw out that thought as soon as it came, as the ones who helped me reincarnate were far too powerful to play tricks like that.

Then, I guess... It also had included others combat experiences? That would somewhat explain the second set of memories.

Countless, simply countless different techniques and myraids of different kinds of knowledge that was as vast as the universe itself. It contained a variety of different skills, information about almost anything, and a deep level of understanding of the aforementioend things at incredible levels.

Third, the memories of this life, which although they were a bit messy and disorganised, they would definetely be useful for pretending to be Avrith, at least for a few days if not weeks.

As long as I avoided his family, and closest friend, I should be fine.

The fourth set of memories, by far the smallest in size, was still important, as it was the info from the powerful beings that was imprinted into my soul. The knowledge that I was a reincarnator and that they wiped my memories at my own request. Well, they also attached a small sentence that explained why they wiped all personal memories, as, according to them, 'I would get bored of living once more'.

"Haaaaah... The hell is up with this set up. At least let me remember some things from my previous life... I don't want to be a smelly brat that doesn't know how the world works."

Not getting any replies, I guessed they wouldn't at least help me out this much.

"Haaa... Whatever."

And like that, the door to the classroom was opened as the first classmate arrived.
