Chapter 2 - A Painful Confrontation

Chapter Two

Natasha has been in her room since when the news of her boyfriend's marriage was broken to her. She felt paralyzed and useless to do anything.

"What are we going to do about Natasha's situation? She's really broken about the news" her brother asked their parents in concern.

Mrs. Allen excused herself from her husband and son's presence then went to knock on Natasha's room door.

"Baby, you can't let this get to you" she tried to pacify her.

"Go away" Natasha's faint voice from inside could be heard.

Her mother had no words to say to console her daughter. "I know you are upset and you are hurting. get it." She placed her palm on the door "You don't need to come to the wedding, okay? Just do whatever you have to do to get back on your feet and be the happy and cheerful girl we all know you to be. I know someday you will find the right guy that will appreciates you" her mother tried to be optimistic.

When she heard no words from Natasha, she sighs and turns to leave.

Natasha paced about in her room, feeling hurt and trying to make sense of the situation. She knew Rose all to well. Rose is a manipulator and an aggressive-controlling person. Tony wouldn't do something like this to her intentionally.

She believed he was cajoled to do this.

"I know just what to do" she says and went into her closet to pick out the best attire she had in there. "I'm getting my answers today"

The ceremony was already concluded with the couple sealing their vows with a smearing kiss. The crowd applaud and cheered on the newlyweds.

Natasha's family tried to appear happy. Mr. Allen had to come or his boss will rain wrath on him and his family. He didn't have a choice.

"Tony!!!" the loud voice of a distraught Natasha gained the attention of every attendant of the ceremony. She began walking down the aisle in a long red, body-fitting dress Tony had gifted her for their one-year anniversary.

"Natasha" he whispered and let go of Rose's hand as he approaches her.

Rose went mad at that and followed after him, standing right in front of him when he was three feet away from Natasha.

"I didn't remember sending out invites to the outcast" she gave Natasha a once over.

Natasha was irritated by her attitude and frowns at her. "You invited my family, remember?" she ignores her and focuses her gaze on Tony who wasn't looking fazed about the drama happening.

"How could you do this Tony, after all I did to make our relationship work. How could you?" Tears were streaming down Natasha's eyes.

The hurt sliced through her heart with Tony's next words.

"Relationship?" he chuckled "You call whatever that is a relationship?" he laughs at her humiliation. "I didn't think you were that stupid to think that was. Like come on, we are both aware I don't love you" he dropped the bomb and her eyes widened in shock.

Rose laughed and held Tony's hand. "I never knew you were so stupid to see all the signs that he doesn't and will never love you" she scoffed.

Natasha's heart shattered at what she heard. Suddenly she starts remembering all of his words she thought he didn't mean and it all started to make sense. He was playing her all along.

"Why did you do that to me? After I showed you true love?" she cried. Her legs felt like jelly as she tried to keep herself from falling.

"Oh, please save all the nonsense tears. You were too blinded to see that I never loved you. You forced all these and this is your reward for it" Tony taunts, his voice cold and distant as he spoke those words to her.

"You bastard, you dare humiliate my daughter in front of these people, I'll kill you" Mr. Allen charged at Tony but was restrained by some men in black suit.

"I would appreciate if there are no problems here at my daughter/'s wedding" Mr. Smith, Rose's dad interfered. "I expected a better behavior from you Mr. Allen" he motioned for those guys to let him go.

"I hate you Tony, I hate you" Natasha yelled and ran out of the place in full speed, ignoring the calls of her family and just wanting to be out of that place. It chocked her and she needed air.

Natasha sits under a tree in the parking lot, a part of her expecting Tony to show up whilst different thoughts came pondering in her head.

"I can't believe he would do something like that to me" she cried, thinking of how betrayed she felt. Her family didn't tell her what was going even after knowing everything was just a sham.

The sky rumbled and drops of rain starts falling before turning to blissful showers. Natasha wasn't bothered about getting drenched in the rain, she hoped it would wash away her tears and the pain she's feeling.

Suddenly, she didn't feel the cold rain against her skin and wondered if it had stop falling. The constant noise from the light showers hitting the ground told her otherwise.

Looking up, she saw an umbrella over her head with a man's hand holding it. A wave of relief and slight happiness washed her as she thought it was Tony.

Standing on her feet, she touched his hand with a smile "Tony, you came for me"

The unfamiliar deep voice that spoke told her he isn't who she hoped for.

"I am not Tony," the handsome brown-

haired man revealed himself to her.
