Chapter 7 - Chapter Six VI

Moscow, Russia.

It was early February, the streets were covered with snow. Dressed in a white fur coat, matching the blanket of snow, Scarlet walked into a restaurant. She got to a table and sat down, waiting for Chris to come from wherever he was.

"Would like to order anything Miss." A waiter said next to her. Scarlet turned to him with a smile, "Not yet. I'm waiting for someone to arrive. He'll be here shortly."

"Okay miss, I'll attend to you as soon as he arrives." He said with a smile. Then as soon as he was about to leave, Scarlet spoke up, "Thanks, Daniil." He stopped then turned to Scarlet, "How did you know my name?"

Scarlet stared into his eyes, still having that smile before she raised her index finger and pointed to her chest, "Your nametag." Daniil, the waiter, looked down at the nametag which had his name on it written in Russian

"You speak Russian?" Scarlet shrugged, "Just a little bit of Russian." She said in Russian. "That's so cool." Chris rushed in and found Scarlet waiting for him at a table. "Sorry I'm late Annah. I had something to attend to." He apologized. Scarlet sighed, "It's not the first time you have disappointed me so I'm not moved by your tardiness."

"Christopher?" Daniil suddenly spoke up. Chris looked up at Daniil and let out a heavy sigh. Scarlet noticed the tension in the air, "What's wrong Chris?" She looked at Chris before focusing on Daniil, "Is there any problem?"

Daniil was glaring daggers at Chris, not moving his sight from him. Chris slowly shook his head, "Oh, it's nothing. It's just that I am very familiar with your date." Scarlet blinked, finding it very uncomfortable that Daniil called Chris her date.

"Uhm... I'll have the glazed doughnut with..." Chris suddenly spoke up, trying to change to change the subject, "You'll have nothing until you tell me how you know him Chris?!" Scarlet said, cutting him off.

"He is wasting your time miss. The truth is that he is dating my sister." Daniil said in Russian. Scarlet turned sharply to Chris with a glare. "What ever he told you was a big fat lie Annah." Chris rushed. "Oh, so you aren't dating his sister?" Scarlet asked, raising a daring brow at him.

"Wait till I tell my sister that you are cheating on her." Daniil said glaring at Chris. Chris faced him immediately, "Eww, why would I date her?! She's my baby sister!" Daniil turned to Scarlet, "Is that true?" Scarlet nodded and Daniil blushed in embarrassment.

"Oh, I'm sorry for assuming things." He apologized. "How can I cheat on your sister? I would rather sail to the Bermuda Triangle than to cheat on her." Chris said glaring at Daniil. He turned to Scarlet when he felt her glares.

"Uhm... I was going to tell you but..." He trailed off. "Daniil, I need a cup of Cappuccino and 2 slices of red velvet cake to go please." Scarlet said not taking her eyes away from Chris. Daniil nodded to go get her order ready.

Chris opened his mouth to speak but Scarlet stopped him by raising a hand up, "Not here, not now. We will discuss this at the hotel." Daniil brought her order and she took it from the table and stood up, "Nice meeting you Daniil." She said in Russian before left the restaurant in anger.

Daniil watched her leave the restaurant in confusion then focused his attention on Chris who was glaring at him seriously. "You better pray that she has calmed down before I meet her or it's the end for me." Chris threatened, not breaking his glare.

"I don't see that as a me problem." Daniil shrugged and was about to leave the table but Chris pulled him back, "The end of me is the also the end of you. If my sister harms me because of your tattle telling then Darya won't let you see the light of day again."

"You little piece of..." "Is there a problem?" One of the restaurant waiters came to their table sensing the tension in the air, cutting Daniil words off. "No, I'm just having a little chat with Daniil. Do you need him for anything?" Chris asked with a smile.

"Well, yes we do. We need him to serve a table." He said. Chris nodded, "Very well then, I'll have a double shot espresso with a glazed doughnut." He said with a small grin. Daniil rolled his eyes and left to get Chris's order.

At the hotel.

Scarlet sat down patiently on the floor of her hotel bedroom, eating the cake in bits. It's been two hours since she left Chris in the restaurant. She just had a phone call with her father few minutes ago. Telling her that she needs to open her social media accounts. It took a lot of convincing from her father for her to agree.

"How do they even do this?" She said to herself, staring at the Instagram app she downloaded a few minutes ago. Someone knocked at her doo, and she was in alert, "Annah? Can I come in?" Chris said from the other side of the door.

She sighed before answering him, "Yes." Chris entered, "Hey sis, how are you doing?" He asked nervously. Scarlet raised her head from her phone and stared at Chris blankly, "Oh, me? I'm fine. I mean, I feel so fine right not that I feel like throwing a vase at you." She said before she focused back on her phone, "But not now because I need your help with something."

"So, I'm safe?" Chris asked nervously. Scarlet looked up, staring into his soul, "For now." Chris gulped. "What do you need my help in?" Chris asked sitting next to her. His eyes landed on her slice of cake and he took her fork and scooped a piece of cake and was about to put it in his mouth but stopped his actions when Scarlet pointed her gun to his head.

"I just want one scoop." He whined. Scarlet tared at him without blinking. He sighed in defeat and dropped the fork. "I need you to help me and open an Instagram account." She said dropping the gun.

Chris turned to her in shock, "You're joking?" She stayed silent and Chris took that as a silent answer and chuckled, "What changed your mind?" "Father told me to make one and I need to get a life apart from the one I'm living now." Scarlet spoke lowly.

"Okay so if I help you, you won't hurt me anymore?" Chris said in a playful tone. Scarlet rolled her eyes, "I'll try." "Deal." So, Chris spent hours teaching Scarlet how to use the app and she finally got the hang of it.

"Thanks." She said with a small smile. "So are you going to follow those girls you saw in China?" Chris asked with a raised brow, eating Scarlet's cake that he got after a lot of pleading. Scarlet gave him a look, "Why should I do that?"

Chris shrugged, "Well, you might make new friends. And having friends won't hurt." He said in a soft tone. Scarlet stayed silent for a while before she sighed, "Goodnight."

Chris nodded before getting up from the floor, "Goodnight Annah. I missed this type of nights." He said then kissed her forehead. "Yeah, about that, I deserve an explanation tomorrow morning." Scarlet said. Chris's blood ran cold and he nodded before leaving her bedroom.
