"really " he said with a hint of mockery in his voice, " I will show you ok" I said out frustration "go on show me" he said looking at me, I look stood there looking at him not knowing what to do.
"Show me and don't waste my time young lady " he said threatening me, I was afraid I don't know what to do.
After standing for a while he turn and left me there, I stood there for what seems like an hour.i walked to my house door I wasn't sure if I should knock I stood there and slump on the floor I lean there for an hour and decided to call Sara.
"Hi Sara" I called her " sup girl " she said from the other side of the phone " can I come over to spend the night with you" I asked." Sure anything you sound like you are going through a lot" she said her voice was full of concern.
" I ...I " I stammered " I don't know what to do Sara " I told her crying. " Am coming to pick you up chole I think we need to talk " she said and hang up the call.
She came in a few minutes and we head for her house. We got there few minutes later and she offered me a bench and a cup of tea.
" So what is the problem that is Killing you chole " she told me.As we sat together on the bench, my voice trembled with each word. "He's forcing me to get married, sara. I don't want to, but he won't listen."
Tears streamed down my face, and my best friend, sara, wrapped a comforting arm around her shoulders. "Oh, chole, I'm so sorry. What can I do?"
I shook my head as I sip my tea, feeling helpless. "I don't know. He's always been traditional, but I never thought he'd do this. I'm only 22, sara. I'm not ready for marriage."
Sara face reflected her distress, but she seemed at a loss for words. "I...I don't know what to say, chole. This is so unfair."
I cried harder, feeling like my world was crumbling around me. "I know. I feel like I'm losing myself in all this. I don't know what to do."
