Ellina immediately nodded calmly. "Yes, we understand, Young Master Ryan."
Meanwhile, Charlotte, with her characteristic bright smile, responded enthusiastically. "Yes! Master, don't worry! We know our duties!" Charlotte replied, nodding her head repeatedly.
Ryan smiled faintly at Charlotte's enthusiasm. "Good," Ryan said. Then, Ryan's gaze shifted to Rosseline, who looked a bit nervous. "Rosseline, you need to find information about simple accommodations on the outskirts of Powncrow City. Make sure the place is secluded enough and safe."
Rosseline, with an expression still full of anxiety, replied slowly, "Uhm... I understand, Master Ryan."
Ryan nodded, satisfied with Rosseline's answer. His gaze returned to the outside window, looking at the horizon. Behind Ryan's calm demeanor, he knew that their mission in the Kingdom of Polons would soon begin.
After the Magic Airship slowly landed at the Sky Dock, Ryan, Ellina, Charlotte, and Rosseline stepped out of the large door of the ship.
The cold morning air welcomed them, and a thin mist enveloped the city below. From the height, Powncrow City looked like a spread of small buildings scattered, with a river flowing between the winding streets.
Ellina and Charlotte exchanged a quick glance before they both disappeared into the crowd with agile movements, like shadows dissolving in the light.
Meanwhile, Rosseline—walking lightly yet surely—hurried to find simple accommodations on the outskirts of the city, as per Ryan's instructions. The city was full of secrets, and they did not want to draw attention.
Ryan, on the other hand, remained calm. His gaze was fixed on a small shop near the dock, which sold bread and coffee. The sweet aroma of toasted bread and freshly brewed coffee wafted faintly in the air. Without hesitation, Ryan headed towards the shop, pushing the wooden door that creaked lightly as it opened.
Inside, the atmosphere was clean and tidy. The floor was shiny, while the neatly arranged wooden tables added a cozy impression to the place.
The walls were filled with various menu boards written in colored chalk, showcasing a variety of bread and drinks. A friendly-looking waitress with long brown hair approached Ryan with a warm smile.
"What would you like to buy, Sir?" the waitress asked politely, her eyes sparkling.
Ryan glanced at the menu for a moment before deciding on his order in a calm yet firm voice. "Five chocolate breads, ten vanilla breads, five cappuccino breads, and one mocha ice cream."
The waitress nodded and quickly noted it down in her small notebook. "Alright, please wait a moment, Sir," she said before turning towards the kitchen.
Ryan stepped out of the shop, choosing a seat on a wooden bench outside, in front of the shop's large window. He leaned back and gazed at the bustling street view of the city, but Ryan's thoughts were far away.
The tasks awaiting in this city were full of risks, and every step needed to be carefully planned. However, for a moment, the pleasant smell of coffee and bread distracted Ryan from the mission.
A little while later, the waitress returned with a large tray containing Ryan's order. The woman smiled warmly as she placed all the food on the small table in front of Ryan.
"Everything totals 1 silver coin and 25 bronze coins," the waitress said while pulling a small pouch from her waist, ready to count the payment.
Ryan nodded, quickly calculating in his mind. Five chocolate breads, ten vanilla breads, and five cappuccino breads, each costing five bronze coins. A total of twenty breads means 100 bronze coins, or one silver coin. Plus the mocha ice cream priced at 25 bronze coins, the total amount matched what the waitress mentioned.
"Here," Ryan said briefly, handing over the silver and bronze coins to the waitress. With a graceful motion, the woman accepted the money and nodded respectfully before going back inside the shop. Ryan watched for a moment, then took a deep breath, inhaling the aroma of the fresh, still-warm bread.
