Chapter 63 - Ch 63: Journey to the Polons Kingdom

And lastly, the Cursed Moon Eye skill, one of the hundred most difficult skills and magic to learn. This skill can only be used during a full moon and requires a tremendous amount of Mana Energy, so much so that it can turn the Moon into a Giant Eye.

The attack from this skill has a wide scale, but its use requires extraordinarily strong control and perception. When the skill is used, anyone beneath the Giant Eye of the Moon will be cursed; if they remain under the Moon, they will turn to dust.

Ryan let out a long sigh, allowing his thoughts to ponder these three possibilities. Although Ryan had not found a definite answer, it was clear that the giant eye hanging in the sky over Windfall City was not a trivial matter. Whether it was the Eye of the God's Hunt, the Gaze of Annihilation, or the Cursed Moon Eye, one thing was certain: Ryan had to be vigilant and ready to face whatever would happen.

Ryan was more inclined to think that the giant eye hanging in the sky over Windfall City was the result of the Eye of the God's Hunt skill, but the question that kept swirling in his mind was: who was being hunted? Or more precisely, what was being sought? That answer remained elusive. Ryan had no clues, and the longer he pondered it, the more he realized that he didn't care.

Ryan's focus was now directed towards the Polons Kingdom. There were still a few weeks of travel before they arrived, and while the Magic Airship floated in the sky, Ryan waited for the passengers disembarking at Windfall City Dock to finish, as well as for the new passengers to board the ship. The ship slowly set sail again, leaving the city below, which appeared smaller and smaller, shrouded by the dark and cold horizon.

During this time, Ryan intensified his training. Ever since he saw the giant eye in the sky over Windfall, Ryan's awareness of his own weaknesses had grown stronger.

Ryan felt small and powerless, as if merely looking at that eye was enough to instill fear in him. It was a reminder that he was still far from the strength he desired.

Ryan engaged in extreme training, pushing his body to its limits. However, Ryan did not only focus on training. Occasionally, he would set aside time to listen to the radio.

The Random Mailbox he had was utterly useless for gathering information, making the radio his only reliable source of news. Unfortunately, the information obtained from the radio was often trivial—bakery openings, new train routes, and other things that Ryan considered nothing more than irrelevant noise to his mission.

Until one evening, during dinner in the room, Ryan was with Ellina, Charlotte, and Rosseline, and the atmosphere turned more serious. Ryan sat at the edge of the room, enjoying their simple meal, but his eyes kept scanning the surroundings, sensing the tension in the air.

Rosseline, who sat near Ryan, appeared restless. Occasionally, Rose would glance at Ryan with a hesitant expression, her lips seeming to want to say something but held back. Finally, Ryan sighed softly, put down his spoon, and looked at Rosseline.

"What's wrong?" Ryan asked in a slightly loud but confused tone. "Why do you look so anxious?"

Rosseline, with a confused and shy face, finally mustered the courage to speak. "I... I just wanted to know, Mr. Ryan. Since we are going to the Polons Kingdom, I'm curious, what is our actual purpose there? I don't remember anything interesting being there..."

Ryan looked at Rosseline with a flat expression, but a hint of annoyance could be seen in his eyes. Then Ryan sighed again, this time deeper, before finally responding seriously.
