Chapter 50 - Ch 50: Avoiding Attention

Ellina stared at Ryan, her expression frozen. "Both are equally disgusting," Ellina replied, her tone returning to its usual coldness.

Ryan nodded slowly. "True. This plan is indeed full of risks and very dangerous, but the goal is clear. Our journey will take between a month and a half or four months. During that time, we will train here and prepare ourselves as best as we can."

"I understand, it will indeed be a long journey," Ellina nodded her head in full understanding.

However, before the atmosphere became too serious, Charlotte asked a question in a cheerful tone that was different from before. "Master! Do you intend to do that again?" Charlotte asked with great interest, referring to the Summoning of a Servant that Ryan could perform when short on people.

Ryan understood Charlotte's intent and realized that she didn't want Ellina to know about the Summoning of a Servant. Ryan also had reasons to keep this secret. There were too many risks if this secret were to be revealed prematurely. Ryan wanted to keep it hidden, at least until he reached Level B or C.

"No, not for now," Ryan replied, shaking his head. Although the Summoning of a Servant could give Ryan additional power and subordinates, he wasn't sure the results would be worth it.

Ryan decided to postpone the summoning. The current Summoning of a Servant he could perform would only yield a 4-Star Servant—strong enough, but not always ideal. Sometimes, the best choice is to wait for a better opportunity. After all, some items Ryan obtained from previous Random Draws had already proven to be quite useful.

With that decision, Ryan shifted his focus back to their grand plan, ensuring that they were all ready to face the long and dangerous journey ahead.

"Alright, enough discussion. Let's start training," Ryan said, nodding firmly. He immediately prepared, indicating that no more time should be wasted.

"What are we going to do?" Ellina asked with a hint of enthusiasm, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"We'll start with basic warm-ups," Ryan replied. "Push-ups, sit-ups, squat jumps, and running. After that, we'll move on to hand-to-hand combat. Then, we'll practice weapon fighting, and finally, we'll hone our skills using the abilities we have."

Time passed quickly. It had been a week since Ryan left Starsteel City and boarded the Magic Airship heading to the Kingdom of Dement. The journey had gone smoothly, without any significant obstacles in their way.

For a full week, Ryan, Ellina, and Charlotte underwent intensive training. Ryan initially doubted Ellina's fighting abilities. Although Ellina claimed to be at Level B, Ryan wanted to see for himself just how strong she was.

Surprisingly, Ellina turned out to be much stronger than Ryan had imagined. In hand-to-hand combat, even if Ryan and Charlotte teamed up, Ellina still dominated decisively. However, in weapon fighting, Charlotte was able to provide more of a challenge, making it a bit difficult for Ellina, though in the end, it was still Ellina who emerged victorious.

During the week on the Magic Airship, they hardly ever left their room except for important things like breakfast and dinner. Ryan deliberately chose not to socialize with other passengers on the ship. He knew that unnecessary interactions would only lead to trouble.

There was a strong reason behind Ryan's attention-avoiding attitude. As a member of the Grand Duke-level noble family from the Allen Empire, Ryan was aware that his status could be exploited by those seeking gain. This is why, aside from when dining with Charlotte and Ellina, Ryan rarely left their room.

Ryan chose to keep his identity hidden, avoiding any possibility that could jeopardize their mission or open a gap for others to exploit his position.
