Yejoon's POV
"Besides your intelligence and degrees. Why else do you think you're the perfect fit for the job?"
I cleared my throat and started directly at Mr. Kim
"Straykids are my soulmates. That being said, given my status- that I'm sure you're aware of- I'd protect them as well as help them work wise. " he look at me skeptically. Of course he would. Lots of people claim to be Straykids' soulmate. I'd be concerned if he wasn't just a tad bit cautious.
"How can you be so sure?" Iseul's eyebrows furrowed a bit.
"I bumped into leeknow-ssi at a corner store yesterday and I dropped everything I bought. While he was helping me pick everything up, his hand grazed mine."He hummed to himself and continued to ask more questions. Eventually asking about the soulmarks.
The second soulmark that represents LeeKnow has a bubble with a bottle inside and a flower along side it. The mark is a little dull. Its supposed to glow and turn a different color when we touch. At least that's what I've heard from my siblings. The soulmark for himself would be on his chest. While the soulmarks for his soulmates would be on his forearm the same as it is on me.
Essentially all of the soulmarks look the same except for the different bottles and flowers.
I showed him my arm and he stared for a minute.
"BangChan-ssi is going to be here shortly to evaluate you himself. But don't think that just because you're their soulmate, you'd automatically get the job." Iseul stated and continued to stare. He looked at me as though I was an animal you'd see at the zoo. As if he's just so intrigued and it's making me very uncomfortable.
After what feels like the longest 5 minutes of my life. We finally hear a knock. BangChan opens the door and immediately his eyes snap to mine. He shook his head and sat down across from me.
"You're auditioning for Straykids' interpreter. How many languages can you speak?" He tilted his head and gave a friendly smile. Completely different from when he walked in.
"I fluently speak 6 languages besides english as well as sign languages for all 7." He nodded and checked something on the paper.
"Why are you interested in working for this company?" This time Iseul asked and held a smug look on his face.
"I've liked kpop for a long time and Straykids is my favorite group. I'm also qualified for this job and since I'm a stay, I can also help them while being with my favorite group." I said and tilted my head. His smile got even bigger but it wasn't a 'that's a good answer' look, it was more taunting and scrutinizing. He asked that question when the interview first started. Why is he asking it again now?
"Did you apply for this job before or after you found out LeeKnow-ssi is your soulmate?" He lifted an eyebrow tauntingly.
BangChan looked up from the paper after scribbling on it when he heard the question. He didn't say anything, he stared just as Iseul did earlier.
"I applied Before I found out" I knew what he was doing. I'm sure they get heaps of people claiming that they are Straykids' soulmate. Of course they'd be cautious. Why would he believe me? But I'm also sure that JYP documented their soulmarks when the whole 'soulmate pandemic' started. So Iseul knows what each of the member's soulmark looks like.
"I would like to meet your counterpart" Bangchan simply stated in disregard to the previous questions. Nonetheless I stood up and separated from Yoonji.
Iseul stood up and walked around us. We heard a couple of hums as he lifted my arm, taking a look at our figure.
"Hello, sir" Yoonji greeted him and sat down then pulled me to sit down with her and held my hand. We decided that since I'm the calmest when it comes to situations like these, I'd handle it. That and the fact the she wanted to hide so she could avoid it. She's always been the more nervous one.
The rest of the interview consisted of Iseul backhandedly commenting on any and everything he could and bangchan taking what I assumed to be notes on the paper.
When the interview ended, Iseul stood while mumbling to himself, seemingly unsatisfied, and walked out the door.
Yoonji let out a breath and shook her head.
'Relax . It's over now, we can go home' I said in my head and put my hand on her head and ruffled her hair.
Yoon pulled away from my hand and nuzzled into my neck as a attempt to hide.
"Yejoon-ssi can I see your mark?" Bangchan winced at the rough way it sounded. Yoonji whimpered audibly and hugging me tighter.
I sighed and rolled up my sleeve to show him the soulmarks. His eyes grew wide and then he leaned back in the chair and let out a breath.
"Yoonji-ah it's okay." I pulled away slightly and watched as BangChan walked around the table and sat next to me.
"Can I touch you?" Bangchan's hand hovered over where Yoonji and i's hands were still connected. I nodded and Yoon pulled away a bit more. Chan touched both yoon and I at the same time.
It was a weird warm feeling that spread across my entire body. It oddly felt good. I heard a auditable gasp come from Yoon-ah and pulled her into me.
"How are you both feeling?" Chan asked after a few moments and then rested his hand on top of ours and caressing it.
"Scared, excited" we answered at the same time and he giggled a bit. We heard a vibrate followed by a small 'ding' sound.
Chan pulled his phone from his pocked and smiled to himself.
"The kids are in the lobby waiting for me. Do you want to meet them?" He asked and pulled Yoon into him when she got up to hug him.
Yoon moved away from him slightly and started to bounce in place.
"Let's go let's go come on let's go" she bounced around like a bunny and did a little spin.
"Calm down dancey bunny." I tried ruffled her hair again but she swatted my hand away and pouted.
Chan watched as we fused and hugged us.
"Okay let's go" yoonie giggled to herself and we followed chan to the lobby.
