Chapter 39 - The Truth Unveiled

Sam sat quietly in a dimly lit room, the air thick with anticipation. The past few days had been a whirlwind of revelations, leaving him more confused than ever. His sister, Emily, had finally agreed to tell him the truth—everything about their family, their past, and the mysterious Shade Society that seemed to hold all the answers.

Emily looked at him with a mixture of sorrow and determination. "Sam, I've been keeping something from you for a long time. But now, it's time for you to know the truth."

Sam nodded, bracing himself for whatever was to come. "I'm ready."

Emily motioned for Sam to follow her. They walked through the corridors of the mansion until they reached a heavily guarded door. Emily exchanged a nod with the guards, and they stepped aside, allowing her and Sam to enter.

Inside, three figures awaited them. John Smith, Markenber, and Oswin—the three who would reveal the truth about the Shade Society and the dark secrets that had been kept hidden for so long.

"Sam," John began, his voice deep and solemn, "you've shown extraordinary strength and potential, but there's much about your heritage and the world you don't yet understand. We're here to change that."

Sam listened intently as John continued, his mind racing with a thousand questions.

"Long ago," Markenber interjected, "there was a great magician named Eric the Great. He was the strongest magician of his time, a hero who saved our world from a demon invasion. But his story is far more complex than the legends say."

Oswin stepped forward, his eyes filled with a deep, almost mournful understanding. "The demons came to conquer the Earth, and they nearly succeeded. But Eric, along with his six allies and a powerful army, managed to defeat the demon army and the Demon King. However, the Demon King was immortal—he couldn't be killed, and no prison in this universe could contain him."

Sam's eyes widened as the tale unfolded, a deep sense of unease settling over him.

"To save the world," John continued, "Eric made the ultimate sacrifice. He imprisoned the Demon King within his own body, but the power and darkness that came with it made him too dangerous for the human world. So, using all his mana, he created a new dimension, a parallel world where he could safely contain the Demon King's power."

"But," Oswin added, his tone grim, "that was just the beginning. After creating this new world, Eric lost all his magical abilities and became a normal human. Yet, he was still revered as a king by his allies and followers."

The room fell silent as the weight of the story settled in. Sam could barely process what he was hearing. A man who had given everything to save the world, only to lose everything himself.

"But not everyone shared Eric's vision of peace and sacrifice," Markenber said, breaking the silence. "One of his allies, Aldric, the captain of Squad 4, had a different idea. He was a genius in science and believed that the world needed more powerful soldiers to face future threats. He proposed turning ordinary humans into powerful soldiers—tools that could be used at will."

Sam felt a chill run down his spine. "And the king... he rejected this idea, didn't he?"

"Yes," John replied firmly. "Eric was adamant that using humans as tools was a violation of the laws of nature. He refused Aldric's proposal outright."

"But not everyone agreed," Oswin continued. "Fedrick Morph, the captain of Squad 3, saw potential in Aldric's plan. He believed that the world needed this kind of power, and in secret, he conspired with Aldric to carry out the experiments."

The room grew darker, the air heavier as the story turned even more sinister.

"They experimented on countless children," Markenber said, his voice trembling with anger. "Many died, but some survived. They created powerful soldiers, but at a terrible cost."

"Eventually," John added, "the king discovered their treachery. But before he could act, Fedrick killed him, framing the head captain for the murder. With the support of two other squad captains, Fedrick took control, declaring himself the new king."

Sam clenched his fists, anger boiling within him. "And what happened to the head captain?"

"He escaped," Oswin said, his voice tinged with sadness. "But he was branded a traitor. Only a few of us knew the truth. Fedrick continued his experiments, and over time, the truth was buried under lies and deceit."

Sam's heart pounded in his chest as the pieces began to fall into place. "And me? What does this have to do with me?"

Markenber met his gaze, his expression somber. "You, Sam, are one of the products of those experiments. Fedrick and Aldric created you to be a powerful tool in their plans to conquer the Earth. But you are more than just an experiment. You have the power to stop them, to reveal the truth and save both worlds. Your parents knows about that and when they got to know that they ran away from the Shade society to save you. And about you your demonic form we still don't know where it came from but we are working on it"

Sam's mind reeled as the full weight of the revelation hit him. He was a creation, a tool in a twisted plot for power. But he was also something more—someone who could change everything.

"We need to stop Fedrick," Oswin said, his voice filled with resolve. "He's building an army, one that could threaten all realms. If we don't act, he will come for the Earth, claiming it as his rightful domain."

"And how do we stop him?" Sam asked, determination hardening in his voice.

"We start by uncovering the truth," John replied. "The Shade Society must know what Fedrick has done, but they're blinded by his lies. We need evidence, allies, and a plan. But most of all, we need you, Sam."

Sam took a deep breath, the weight of his new reality pressing down on him. But he didn't falter. He had a purpose now, a mission that transcended his own life. He would stop Fedrick, not just for himself, but for his family, for the world, and for the memory of a king who had sacrificed everything.

As he looked at the three figures before him, he nodded, his resolve unshakable. "I'm in. Let's stop Fedrick and save our world."

With that, Sam took the first step on a new path—a path that would lead him deeper into the heart of the Shade Society and closer to the truth that had been hidden for so long.
