The next day, Azrael decided to host a grand feast for the soldiers before they departed for war. Due to their vast numbers, some were seated in the expansive great hall, while others made themselves comfortable outside, enjoying the food, fresh wine, and lively conversations with their comrades.
The palace walls reverberated with the joyful chaos of the soldiers, their laughter and voices mingling with the soft melodies of musical instruments being played in the background. The rhythmic tunes brought a comforting harmony to the otherwise boisterous atmosphere.
Azrael sat at the high table, Elysia by his right side and Sevastian on his left. Rohan and Lyra were seated beside Elysia, while the commander occupied the seat next to Sevastian. Together, they watched the feast unfold, the soldiers relishing their moments of camaraderie before the trials ahead.
