The next morning, Sevastian opened the door to find his mother lying on the ground just outside, her fragile body curled up in a deep sleep. He let out a shaky breath, his heart tightening at the sight. Crouching down, he gently tapped her shoulder, rousing her from her slumber.
Rosanna's eyes fluttered open, and a slow smile spread across her face when she saw him. Without hesitation, she pulled him into a tight embrace, burying her face in his chest as she cried softly, her hands gently caressing his hair.
"I..I am sorry V, I should not have done that. I have no idea of what came over me." Rosanna pleaded, her shaky fingers brushing the cut on his face lightly.
"Don't cry mother, I am fine. Come, allow me make you breakfast before I leave." He helped her get back on her feet.
"Do not worry about that, I can take care of myself besides I would not want you to be late." She offered him a smile.
