Rohan was good at finding out many things, providing information and reading people. He did it so well that within minutes of speaking to a person, he could tell what kind of person they were. The two guards actually made this so easy for him, they were both slow and could not pretend well enough. Rohan wondered why they were still working for the King because clearly they lacked competence.
Richard grew alert and overwhelmed, he made a stupid mistake by trying to attack Sevastian. He regretted his actions immediately as Sevastian threw a hard blow to his stomach, making him fall to this knees, groaning in pain.
Sevastian kicked the man's face hard, causing his head to fall backwards, his body landing to the floor with a loud thud. "We can do this all day." Sevastian said, his voice lacking emotions. His grey eyes shifted to his black boots, which was stained with the man's blood. "I had this shoe polished this morning." He muttered.
Richard held his broken and bleeding nose crying out hysterically. "I will ask one more time James and you better give me something good."
James swallowed the lump in his throat, fear clouding his eyes as sweat beads covered his face. "What do you want to know?" He uttered, trying to sound brave.
"Everything about the woman you let enter the palace, I want a name, where she stays? Everything!" Sevastian questioned, leaning on the wall.
"I-I don't know much about her. She said her name was Lilian, and she works at the brothel. That's all I know about her, I swear." James replied looking between Sevastian and Rohan.
"Lilian what? Her last name?" Rohan inquired.
"I have no idea, she only told me her name. That's all I know about her." James said.
"Give us a description, what does she look like? Tell us something distinctive." Rohan asked.
James closed his eyes, running his shaky fingers through his hair.
"We do not have all day, Mr Killorn." Sevastian's voice raised a bit, showing his impatience.
"I-I know, I am trying to remember what she looked like." James said, panicking.
"Be fast with it." Rohan added.
"Mmm, I think she had deep brown hair that looked like red, green eyes and thin lips. She was an average height woman, skinny with big breasts." James explained.
"Something else, did she have a mark, perhaps a scar that is distinctive. Something that could make us recognize her immediately. It would be helpful if it was in an open place, hands, neck or face." Rohan explained.
"Ummm. I- I think she had a scar on her neck. And a weird looking tattoo on her wrist. It was something I have not seen before, it looked like a spider. No, no. It was a scorpion, scary looking thing."
Sevastian passed Rohan a look. Finally, something they could work with. "Very well then, thank you for your cooperation. We would get back to you when she is caught." Sevastian flashed the guard a small smile.
Sevastian walked to the door, trailing behind Rohan, but stopped at the door. "I want to believe you have told us the whole truth and have left nothing out?" Sevastian said to James, tilting his head to the side.
"I promise you, I told you the whole truth."
"I really hope for your sake you did, if I find out you lied. I will cause you pain that you never know existed. Do we have an understanding, Mr Killorn?" His voice darkened, passing the threat.
"Yes I understand. I am deeply sorry for what I did." James apologized, sounding genuinely remorseful.
"It is too late for apologies, Mr Killorn." Sevastian strolled out of the room, shutting the door close behind him.
"Damn, the King is definitely rubbing off on you. You sounded so serious and scary in there." Rohan teased playfully, his hands buried in his trouser's pockets.
"I was serious Rohan, and I am rubbing off on you too." Sevastian replied.
"I don't think that is true, I am still an exciting person. So, you are definitely not rubbing off on me." Rohan stated.
"Whatever makes you sleep at night, Ro." Sevastian said, causing Rohan to roll his eyes.
"So, when do we visit the brothel? In search of this Lillian?" Rohan questioned.
"We leave now, just after I clean that man's blood off my shoes. I do not like the smell of blood, especially on me." Sevastian stated, scrunching his nose in disgust.
"I never would have guessed that. You always surprise me Sev. It is like I am learning new things about you everyday. I like that we are getting closer and bonding well." Rohan smiled broadly, stretching his hand over Sevastian's shoulder.
Sevastian eyes turned into daggers. "I will give you three seconds to remove your hand from my shoulders." His voice darkened.
Rohan immediately pulled away taking a few steps from him. "You are incredibly boring Sev. Loosen up a little, mate," Rohan sighed, rolling his eyes at Sevastian. "Anyways, be quick with your shoes. We have a brothel to visit." Rohan added.
"Why do you sound excited Rohan?" Sevastian narrowed his eyes.
"Of course I am excited, I would very much love to tease you about visiting a brothel. Perhaps, you could see a woman of your fancy." Rohan smirked, his eyes glinting with amusement.
Sevastian arched his brow. "We are looking for a murderer, and you still think of your needs, can you be ever serious?" He sighed in defeat.
"You are incorrect my friend, I am not thinking about my needs, it is properly taken care of. It is yours I am worried about. I am beginning to think that you are secretly interested in becoming a priest." Rohan sighed, crossing his arms on his chest.
"What? I- Can we not have this conversation for a week? Is that too much to ask?" Sevastian adjusted his glasses, something he did when he was stressed out.
"I am afraid not, I will continue to speak about this to you untill, you find yourself a lover." Rohan said, not giving up despite Sevastian's frustration. "So, can we find you a woman there? I have a few favorites." Rohan whispered.
"Lord! No!" Sevastian exclaimed, making Rohan burst into a deep laughter.
