'Yan Shung, huh? That's not a bad name... I guess I'll go along with that from now on,' I thought. Then the other middle-aged man said something, and right after he spoke, I felt cold, really cold.
But it only lasted a few minutes before everything returned to normal.
'I heard that people from such strong families only favour the talented... so, maybe I should do some tricks. Maybe they'll believe that I'm some kind of talented kid, haha.' With that thought, I looked at the chandelier hanging from the ceiling as I focused my energy on it, which I don't know what it's called.
And then suddenly, I felt my connection with my energy being cut off as my energy went wild, making everything fly and collide as it destroyed itself after colliding.
Seeing it, my father's eyes widened as an old man with a long beard appeared out of thin air. He snapped his fingers, and everything that had been happening stopped, and my energy returned to normal.
'Is he like some ancestor?' I thought as he walked toward me, and my father handed me over to him before he put a finger on my abdomen.
'Hey, hey, hey, that's kinda rude,' I thought, seeing it. But then he started to laugh out loud and then said something that made my father laugh as well before they all gazed at me.
### [5 years later...] [Cultivation Chamber...]
In the past five years, I didn't have anything significant or noteworthy other than mastering my own power, even though my grandfather strictly said not to use my powers.
I didn't obey his words. I was also caught by him while I was practicing in a corner of the training hall, which was large enough to fit in two stadiums.
Even though he caught me, he didn't say anything and just checked my body to see if I had any injuries on the surface or inside my body. Though he did scold me for half an hour, trying to convince me of how dangerous my powers were and how much damage they could do and whatnot, I just didn't care enough and tried it again and again. Now, I can confidently say that I've mastered my powers and can control them effortlessly.
When I reached the age of 4, I was also bombarded with a bombastic woman with huge melons and a big ass, who was one of the head maids of the Shung clan. She was introduced to me as a teacher who would teach me how to write, read, and also the history of the clan and other whatnot things which seemed unnecessary.
But I surprised them because I learned everything that woman taught me within a day. The reason the system told me was that I was extremely, too talented at everything from my last life, which made sense considering that I learned whatever Alex taught me within a week at most.
At this moment, I'm inside one of the cultivation chambers with my grandfather, who was sitting cross-legged in front of me. He was quietly sitting without making any noise.
'Ah man, what does this oldie want from me now?' I thought while keeping a cold, straight face, which they were used to by now.
"Ahem, Grandson, since you're 5 years old and ready to cultivate, I'll teach you about cultivation," he said with a cough to gain my attention.
As soon as he said that, my interest was piqued, and I had a big grin on my face, which I hid quite well.
'Cultivation, huh? To be honest, I was waiting for this moment since this "cultivation" thing seems to give absurd powers to an individual.' I thought, my interest in cultivation evident.
"Yes, Grandpa," I said, responding to his words.
"Now then, let me ask you a question. What is cultivation?" he said, his eyes focused on me.
"Cultivation is the art of harnessing the natural energy of the world, which is known as Qi, to strengthen ourselves. Qi is also present in every part of the world," I said, telling him whatever I understood about this cultivation thing from books that I read in the library.
"Haha, you're right, but that's not what cultivation is. Let me tell you what cultivation is." He said as he stroked his long, white beard, giving off a wise man vibe.
"Cultivation is the process of refining one's body and spirit to achieve greater power and immortality. It involves practices such as meditation, martial arts, and the absorption of spiritual energy. Through persistent effort, cultivators advance through levels, gaining unimaginable strength. Being capable of even destroying the universe isn't an impossible task for us cultivators too," Ancestor Jiang said as he stroked his beard.
'Damn, the power scale is really broken.' I thought, surprised as expectations kept being broken every time I learned more about cultivation.
"Then, Grandpa, can you also destroy planets and universes?" I asked him because I heard from the system that the realm I'm in is known as the highest realm a cultivator can ascend to, and that's why I asked him such questions.
"Haha, destroying universes? Well, that's easy peasy for me. Do you want to see it yourself?" he said, his nose reaching the sky, trying to appear as someone great in front of his lovely grandson.
'Great, I was just thinking of asking him, but who would've thought he would ask me this himself. Haha, how great of him.' I thought as I nodded my head.
"Alright then, let's destroy some universes... anyway, it's not like there's only one universe, so we can destroy as many as we want." He muttered as he snapped his fingers.
As soon as he snapped his fingers, we both disappeared from the cultivation chamber where we were and appeared in a dark space where there were no living beings, only planets, meteors, and other things.
Seeing that we were inside a solar system and not yet outside of the solar system, Grandpa once again snapped his fingers as we teleported outside the universe.
'Woah, so this is how universes look, huh?' I thought as I looked at these huge bubbles.
'And... so many at that? There's at least a thousand or ten thousand such bubbles.' I thought, astonished by the number of universes.
"Do you see these huge bubbles? They're the universes... and there are an uncountable number of these bubbles."
"Now then, I'll destroy one of these universes." He said, as he muttered some ancient runic language. A huge version of Grandpa, wearing a robe and some ancient Chinese hat on his head with a long, blue-colored sword in his hand, appeared.
As he finished muttering these unknown words, the larger version of Grandpa Jiang slashed his sword at the bubble in front of us. The sword collided with the universe, cutting it in half. But the larger version of Grandpa Jiang didn't stop at that; he slashed the sword a few more times, cutting it into pieces as it blew up, its destruction causing some other bubbles to blow up as well.
Grandpa Jiang, who seemed to have predicted such a thing, had already covered me in a blue shield-like circle that protected my whole body from the front to the back, shielding me from the aftermath.
While this was happening, I had a shocked expression on my face, amazed at the extent of power one could achieve with cultivation.
"Haha, so how do you like that?" he said while snapping his fingers, bringing us back to the cultivation chamber as I sat on my seat just before him.
"That was awesome," I said, my tone filled with shock.
'Is this what a cultivator can do after reaching higher stages?' I thought.
[This is just the tip; a cultivator at your grandpa's level can do much more, and there are also people who are much stronger than him.] The system said, adding to my astonishment.
'Damn, I guess I judged too early.' I thought, getting surprised over and over again.
'I wonder how much more this cultivation thing can surprise me. Hahaha,' I thought as I laughed.
Initially, I had zero interest in this cultivation thing, and I was only going to focus on "NTRing" these sons of destiny or whatever the system calls them and my father too, just to revive my mother. Then I thought of living in seclusion as a mortal in the lower realm. But with this much power that a cultivator can have, I've decided.
'No matter what, I must have such powers. I must have such powers, and I'll get them... at whatever cost. If I have to NTR others to get such powers or cultivate for years, I'll do it.'
'And in the process, even if I become the whole world's enemy, I don't care. I will do whatever it takes to get such powers and be the only ruler of this world,' I thought, my determination to become the strongest at whatever cost becoming too strong as my heartbeat quickened, my breath becoming a bit ragged.
###
A/N: Well, you might be wondering, what's the use of this chapter? Well, it's to set his ultimate goal because a main character without a goal is just an empty vessel.
And if I had written ahead without this, I might have had to complete it rather early as he would've become someone who doesn't care much about other things after he revived his mother.
