The group recovered the brilliant soul orbs that came from the defiled emissary hellspawn Lloyd had killed. Although they have procured such a valuable high-ranked soul orb, Lloyd's rank was still not sufficient enough to be able to craft defiled emissary weapons. He would need to increase his level more if he wanted to craft something more potent.
Also, having a higher ranked weapon didn't mean they were going to be slicing and shooting hellspawns easily like slicing a cake or puncturing walls. The user should also be equivalent or higher ranked than the weapon in order to utilize its maximum potential effectively.
Afterwards, they continued on their journey and encountered another type of hellspawn which looked like a snake with fins. They hid in a nearby rock and observed its wriggly movements.
"Do you think it is a snake or a fish?" Jouzo asked.
