Lloyd was beyond surprised and wasn't able to act immediately. It was like his brain overloaded and short-circuited from the unforeseen event that had happened in an instant.
Just a while ago, they were busy hunting the burning dead in order for Jouzo, Risa, and Romina to ascend to rank II. After their short but intense suffering from forming a core, they had decided to go back to the city as they were quite exhausted, and Lloyd was killing a few hellspawns on their way which increased his kill count significantly, bringing him closer to rank III.
When they had arrived in the city, they passed through the body check and then decided to just eat out at the nearest restaurant they could find since they were so tired and hungry that they could collapse anytime soon. Fortunately, there was a fancy restaurant just a few meters away from the entrance named Trista Restobar.
