A little while later, Rennie woke up to find that all of the hellspawns that had surrounded them were gone. Instead, she saw a lively atmosphere full of hearty laughs and warm conversations that it felt so surreal to her. She wondered if she was dead, or if she was having a dream. Lloyd noticed her movements and turned his head to look at her.
"Oh, you're awake. How are you feeling?"
Even the Lloyd in front of her was talking and genuinely showing concern towards her, which meant that this wasn't a dream. To confirm it, she pinched her own cheeks.
"Ouch!"
"What are you doing?" Lloyd eyed her curiously.
She was wincing in pain from pulling it too hard. It was real! She was still alive and kicking. She wasn't dreaming either. It was such a shocking thing for her that her legs almost gave out from feeling so relieved.
"Haaahhh... I'm still alive..."
"Of course, you are. Didn't you remember what happened before you lost consciousness?"
