It wasn't all.
There were more.
"Janice, you obviously have not seen my big brother play the Di Zi (Chinese Flute). Once you do, you'll probably feel that the crappy songs Jordan played earlier were nothing more than just fluffy crap!
My big brother is the best Di Zi player in Orlando, some even say Tampa!
My big brother is the real musical prodigy of our school!"
…
The basketball team members were stunned into sullen silence.
"I had thought that suspending you little punks was good enough. But you just had to force me to be fair huh? Alright, I will be fair. Submit this recording to the National Anti Bullying Committee! We'll let them decide your fate!" Mr Chang roared angrily.
"What! No! Not the National Anti Bullying Committee!!" Chandler Bong shouted in horror.
"My parents will kill me. Principal Chang. Please no! I am sorry I lied, please don't submit this recording to the National Anti Bullying Committee. Please! I beg you!"
"You should have thought of the consequences first before you bullied others." Vice Principal Fernandez said softly. "You reap what you sow. Take this process like a man."
Some of the students lost their strength and collapsed onto the ground.
Vice Principal Fernandez was the "good cop" and Principal Chang was the "bad cop".
If even Vice Principal Fernandez had agreed to it, there was definitely no chance of them changing the decision.
All of them who had participated in bullying Jordan Lin was at risk of being expelled.
The once illustrious Baltech High School Basketball Team was in a massive crisis.
But of course everything had nothing to do with our bro Jordan Lin who was in class and fighting a losing battle against sleep.
Ngok.
Ngoookkk.
Jordan Lin's head drooped low close to his table, giving out the image that he was actually reading his textbook with great focus.
And add to the fact that he was seated right at the very back of the class, our bro managed to sleep through the entire lesson without getting caught.
Talk about pure talent.
This is pure talent!
Suddenly… BANG! The classroom door slammed open!
"AH! I AM INNOCENT! I AM INNOCENT!" Jordan Lin leapt up from his seat and started to scream at the top of his lungs.
Our bro was actually dreaming about the ending of his previous life.
He mistook the door slam as the slamming of the judge's gavel!
"Hahahahaha!"
"Someone here has a massive guilty conscience! Hahaha!"
"Hehehe." Even Mr Gunther couldn't help but chuckle lightly. "Ah, Principal Chang. Vice Principal Fernandez. What brings you both here to Freshman Class 1-C so urgently?"
"Where is Jordan Lin?" Mr Chang half shouted in excitement.
"Ah, that innocent boy? He's over there." Mr Gunther pointed to Jordan Lin who was just about to sit down in embarrasment.
The class chuckled appreciatively at Mr Gunther's words.
But Mr Chang completely ignored Mr Gunther's attempt at humor and his eyes immediately zoomed in on Jordan Lin.
"Jordan Lin! Come here. Quick. Quick!" Mr Chang raised his right hand which was still holding on to an opened envelope and beckoned him urgently.
"Yessir!" Jordan Lin did not dare tarry and immediately jogged forward.
Mr Chang grabbed his arm and immediately dragged him out to the corridor.
"Well done you. Well done." Both Mr Chang and Mr Fernandez beamed at him like two alligators smiling at a cute little antelope, causing Jordan Lin to shiver slightly in fear.
"Ah yes thank you. Haha. It was nothing. It was nothing. It was just three simple songs I randomly wrote at night during my free time. You don't have to give me a letter of commendation. Haha." Jordan Lin quickly chattered to break their fearsomely hot gazes on him.
"Hmmm? Oh. It's not about that performance." Mr Fernandez seemed to realize that Jordan Lin had misunderstood their intentions. "I mean yes, indirectly it is because of that performance. But the reason why we brought you out here is to inform you that -"
"The National Institute of Music is inviting you to take their entrance exam!" Mr Chang shouted to be the one to break the news.
Mr Fernandez could only roll his eyes at him.
"Uh… Okay… What institute is that though? I don't remember applying…" Jordan Lin replied hesitatingly while searching his memories. "Did I?"
But it was too difficult. There were two sets of memories in his brain.
The dominant memory was that of his original life's.
There was another quite faded one which was the memories of his parallel life's.
"Of course you didn't. It was Mr Walza who contacted Dean Peter Pelosi directly to inform him of your marvelous talent. The National Institute of Music wants you! The entrance test is tonight. In New York!" Mr Chang exclaimed. "I've already informed your mother. We're taking the next flight to New York. Yaahoo!!"
Jordan Lin's lips twitched a little bit as he stared at Mr Chang doing a little victorious fist jump.
Why is this old dude more excited than I am? And who said I want to go to the National Institute of Music?
What an overbearing school. They actually want me to immediately drop everything and fly over there?
Who the heck do they think they are? This bro has very important things to do, alright?
Like making sure his Mini Lucky Aura triggers all sorts of wonderful things to happen in school.
Plus, my dream is not simply to become a famous musician.
My dream is to become a Billionaire!
A movie star!
A basketball star!
What good is the National Institute of Music for me?
Can it teach me to compose good songs?
I have an entire world's worth of top songs in my head ready to be released!
Jordan Lin glanced at Mr Fernandez and opened his mouth to politely reject their kind intentions.
But Mr Fernandez spoke first.
"This entrance exam is very important not only for you, but also for the school." Mr Fernandez said rather sheepishly. "Mr Walza had said that he will raise our school budget by 10% if you manage to pass their entrance exam."
Jordan Lin could only sigh in understanding.
As a 28 year old adult, how could he not?
He had experienced the toughness of life, and the importance of money.
He knew the extra 10% could drastically improve the learning experience for many students.
Fine.
This bro will serve the people once more.
I will go and take the entrance test.
I will ace it!
And then, this bro will reject their acceptance offer and go back home.
Mwa ha ha!
