A new week arrived, and it was time for Daniel to start learning from Nana. After finishing his morning exercises, he headed to the training ground. "Now that I think of it, the jutsu I got from Hiruzen were all advanced techniques. Although I've mastered them, I didn't get much related to fuinjutsu except for a few high-end barriers and seals. I want to learn the basics so I can test a theory I once came across in a fanfic. They changed the language from Japanese characters to another. Although changing it to English might not be as effective since you can do more with Japanese characters, maybe I'll create my own language specifically for this kind of thing," he mused as he walked.
Arriving at training ground number 9, he saw Nana and Yuki already there. "Wasn't Ando supposed to be discharged yesterday?" Daniel asked as he met up with the two.
"This is more of a private lesson," Nana snickered.
"Right, this must be like when Kakashi saw it fit to take Sasuke under his wing," Daniel thought.
"Alright, let's get started," Nana said, diving into the lesson. She began explaining fuinjutsu and the basics of how it works, as well as how chakra-infused characters differ from normal writing.
"Fuinjutsu, or sealing techniques, are a fundamental part of ninja arts," Nana began. "They allow us to store and manipulate chakra in various forms. The key to mastering fuinjutsu is understanding the relationship between the symbols and the chakra they represent."
She drew a simple seal on the ground. "This is a basic storage seal. It can hold a small amount of chakra or an object. The symbols here," she pointed to the characters, "represent the flow and containment of chakra. When you infuse chakra into these symbols, they activate the seal."
Daniel and Yuki watched intently as Nana demonstrated. She infused a small amount of chakra into the seal, and it glowed briefly before stabilizing. "Now, you try," she said, stepping back.
Daniel knelt down and carefully traced the seal, focusing on the symbols. He infused his chakra into the seal, and it glowed just as Nana's had. "Good, Daniel. You have a natural talent for this," Nana praised.
Yuki followed suit, her seal glowing faintly. "Not bad, Yuki. With practice, you'll get better," Nana encouraged.
"Now, let's move on to more complex seals," Nana continued. She drew a more intricate pattern on the ground. "This is a barrier seal. It can create a protective barrier around an area. The symbols here are more complex because they need to control a larger amount of chakra and maintain a stable barrier."
She infused chakra into the seal, and a faint barrier shimmered into existence around them. "The key to these seals is precision. Each symbol must be drawn perfectly, and the chakra must flow smoothly through them."
Daniel and Yuki practiced the barrier seal, their concentration evident. Daniel's barrier was stable, while Yuki's flickered slightly. "Keep practicing, Yuki. You'll get the hang of it," Nana said.
"Remember, fuinjutsu is not just about power. It's about control and understanding. Master these basics, and you'll be able to create your own seals and techniques," Nana concluded.
"The gist of it is similar to programming. Now that I've confirmed that, I'll set some clones to create a dedicated language for fuinjutsu, one that will. Allow for a decreases the number of characters whilst maintaining if not increasing the techniques themselves" Daniel thought as he sat on the ground, watching Yuki struggle to get it right.
"Speaking of techniques, I also wanted to try adding chakra natures to my energy blasts to see what effects they'll have. Will they decrease in destructiveness or will they have an extra effect?" Daniel wondered, placing it on his mental to-do list.
As the noon sun struck at its peak, a rowdy young boy came running towards Daniel and Yuki. "Yes, I've finally got it!" Yuki rejoiced as she made a stable barrier.
"See, I told you it's because of the chakra you put in. You poured way too much," Daniel said, balancing a piece of grass on his lips.
"With storage scrolls, I'll be able to carry fewer things now," the kunoichi said, pleased with her progress.
"What are you guys up to, not even inviting me?" Ando's voice boomed as he approached. "I'm out here doing my best to recover, and you go behind my back eloping," he accused, his tone loud and indignant.
Yuki was displeased by Ando's statement, but before she could react, Nana appeared. "Now, now, no bickering, my little puppies. I went ahead and called Ando here so you all can have some bonding time before we go on a mission two days from now," Nana said.
"I want to see your teamwork while we're at it, so get ready," she added, commencing the training. "I want you all to attack me," she said with a smile.
Yuki, and Ando exchanged glances, their competitive spirits ignited. "Alright, let's do this," Daniel said, standing up and preparing himself.
Yuki nodded, her determination clear. "Let's show her what we've got."
Nana watched them with a knowing smile. "Remember, it's not just about strength. It's about working together. Now, come at me!"
The three of them launched their attacks, each bringing their unique skills to the fray. However, it quickly became apparent that Ando was unwilling to cooperate with Daniel. He often acted independently, causing their attacks to be disjointed.
"Focus on your timing!" Nana called out, deflecting an attack. "Ando, watch your left! Yuki, more chakra control!"
Daniel tried to synchronize his moves with Ando, but Ando's reluctance made it difficult. "Ando, we need to work together!" Daniel urged.
"I don't need your help," Ando snapped back, his frustration evident.
Their lack of coordination caused them to stumble several times, giving Nana the upper hand. Despite this, Daniel remained patient and continued to try and coordinate with Ando.
After a particularly clumsy attempt, Nana called a halt. "Alright, that's enough," she said, her tone serious. "Ando, your unwillingness to cooperate is holding the team back. If you would sync your moves more with the team, you'd see a significant improvement."
Ando looked away, his pride wounded. "I don't see why we need him," he muttered.
Yuki in disagreement. "Ando, we need to trust each other. We're a team."
Ando sighed, his resistance softening. "Fine. I'll try."
"Good," Nana said, her expression softening. "Now, let's try again. Remember, teamwork is key."
As they resumed their training.
