Mattie smirked watching how Julian had driven off. One thing he dislikes sharing what he owns.
Especially once it comes to Rowan, he is ready to tear up a person.
"You do know this would affect his business right?" she heard Stephan whisper behind her ears.
"I don't care, he is Julian he would still get back on his feet, but his heart wouldn't be moved again by her.
"Good.." he whistled out and then helped her into the car.
Mattie felt accomplished, staring at her phone, Stephan drove back home.
When they got to the mansion it was all cold, Mattie had thought he would be losing it on her.
"Guess he doesn't even have the time to lose it on her," Stepan smiled at this.
"Where is he?" Stephan asked Sophie.
"He went up the stairs,"
"He didn't cause a fuss?" Stephan asked, surprised.
"Fuss? No… but I don't think she came with him." Sophie stated that she had also heard the news and was heartbroken by it.
"What? They left the party together though," Stephan let out.
"I haven't seen her around since he came back and can't ask Julian what has happened."
Stephan was stunned at this, how could he forget his friend's sentiment?
"He didn't leave her in the middle of the road did he?" Mattie asked and this got Stephan worried.
He climbs up the stairs finding his way to Julian's room, "Where is she?" Stephan asked only to see him having his wine.
Julian scoffed and emptied another cup into a goal, "You know what and who I hate most?" he let out.
Stephan stormed toward him, not ready for his shit "So? Where is she?" he asked again, he was beginning to feel guilty.
Astrid doesn't look the kind of girl to fall for money and also doesn't take herself too cheap.
He would be the cause if she got hurt in this process, he only wanted to get Mattie and the only way was to help Mattie.
"I throw her out of my life, I can't deal with her.." Mattie walked inside also.
"Babe… that's a great idea, she isn't useful in your life." Mattie let out as she winked at Stephan.
She snatched the cup from him while drinking the wine "Why drink when you have me?"
Staphan should only stare at her, "How could she not be worried?"
Mattie was about to take another cup when Julian pulled her forward kissing her.
"I am not the only one getting worried about her, am I?" he asked, but there was no response from them, their kiss was becoming intense and this got him.
"I will set this right," Stephan grumbled to himself, rushing out and driving through the city to retrace the path to the party.
He had been searching for what felt like hours, his frustration growing with every passing minute. Where was she?
As he turned a corner, he finally spotted a weak figure struggling to keep walking.
His eyes narrowed in surprise, was she planning to walk home? He couldn't believe it.
He turned on his rearview light to get a better look, and his heart skipped a beat as he confirmed it was indeed Astrid.
For a moment, he felt a pang of pity for her. She looked so vulnerable, so exhausted. But he quickly shook off the feeling. Why should he care?
Just then another car stopped behind her. Stephan's interest was piqued instantly.
He watched as a tall, dark-haired man stepped out of the car and approached Astrid.
"Rowan?" He called when he finally saw the man's face.
He picked up his phone ready to capture this moment and send it to Julian, but then stopped.
If he gets this, it means Julian might get back with Mattie. He dare not allow that to transpire.
He dropped his phone and also alighted from his car.
"Let her go! Enough destruction for the night." Stephan announced.
Rowan glanced at Stephana and picked her up, not minding her chubbiness. He gestured for his men as they stormed over to Stephan.
Before Stephan could process what had transpired, they pinned him down, stopping him from moving.
Rowan placed her in the car before strutting toward Stephan.
"I know what had transpired, and also found out you instigated this. Don't get on my nerves, I will make you regret it."Stephen groaned.
"Let her go… I will take her to him. You know how he gates sharing…"
"Yet you sleep with his girl?" Staphan was taken aback by his words.
Rowan smiled at this, "No grudges man, you can do your thing as long as it means his destruction." Rowan told him about to leave.
Here's a reconstructed version of the scene:
"I don't trust you with her," Stephan spat, his eyes blazing with anger. "She's just a victim, let her go and direct your punishment to me."
Rowan, an imposing figure with a cold, calculating gaze, sneered at Stephan.
"No, she's the one who's cost me millions. Tell Julian to come get her from me instead."
Stephan's eyes widened in horror as his words sank in. He knew he had made a terrible mistake, but he had never intended for things to go this far.
"You bastard!"
The men, who had been holding Stephan captive, tightened their grip on him.
He struggled and kicked, but they were too powerful, too well-trained. They pinned him to the ground, their fists flying as they kicked him mercilessly.
Rowan got into his car along with his men leaving Stephen beaten mercilessly on the ground as they drove off.
Regret kicked in immediately, his mind racing with thoughts of what he had done.
"I shouldn't have taken it too far," Stephan muttered to himself, his voice barely audible over the sound of his ragged breathing.
While on the other hand, Astrid shook like a leaf, "I am s… sorry Ju… Julian." she murmured.
"Turn on the heat.." Rowan instructed his chauffeur.
"Boss.." his chauffeur called surprised.
He pulled his coat and placed it on Astrid, "You want me repeating myself?" his chauffeur shook his head and did what his boss had told him.
"I… I am sorry Ju.. Julian.." She murmured again.
Rowan couldn't help but ponder how she could still apologize when Julian had left her in the middle of the road.
A dirty smirk played on his face seeing her glasses with him.
"Is this the reason why she thought he was Julian?" this is going to be interesting he thought, his eyes not leaving her for a minute.
He picked up his phone, took a pic, and sent it to his private investigators
"Find out everything about her,"
