Astrid gobbled in water as her head was forced into the water, she tried resisting but she was restrained by the girls.
Her head was pulled out and then Mattie towards her, "You still haven't found the ring?"
Tears streaming down Astrid she shook her head, "Please… I will do whatever you want, please just don't…." before she could complete her sentence.
Her head was gobbled into the pool again, Astrid struggled for breath she was becoming weak with the amount of water she had gobbled down.
When Mattie was satisfied she gestured for the girl to help her out of the water.
They helped her out immediately seeing how Astrid was struggling to breathe. They pulled her out and helped her sit on the edge of the pool. Astrid coughed out grasping for breath.
"You know the reason why you are being punished?"
Astrid coughed violently, her eyes streaming with water, rendering her blind since her contacts were no longer there.
She trembled with fear, her body shaking uncontrollably at the thought of how she was pushed into the pool.
The trauma of being in the pool twice a day was taking its toll on her, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of hopelessness wash over her.
This action irritated Mattie and she lifted her head to stare at her.
"Want me to push in there to find the ring" she quickly shook her head.
"Well I will give you the grace of today to find it for me," Mattie moved toward her.
"I am pretty sure you won't be able to go out with my lovely fiance if you don't see it," she added and snapped her fingers.
The girls ran toward her, and with a wink, she walked out of the premises.
Mattie bumped into Sophie on her way inside the mansion.
"Where is Astrid?"
"Who?"
"I am talking about Astrid," Mattie scoffed at this.
"She should be in her room or something, don't stress me out I got to have my beauty sleep, Mattie responded and walked off.
Sophie glanced at the girls but they dared not utter a word to her.
Sophie was left in disarray, she was sure she didn't go out with the guys, and not finding her in the room made it suspicious.
Whereas Astrid sat by the pool shivering in the cold, she wanted to go inside but again she had lost her contact and there was no way she could go on her own.
She hardly mastered the positions. So the best decision she could make was to just make now sit in the cold until someone discovered her.
It was getting dark and still, she couldn't find anyone to come fetch her, having no choice she needed to move on her own.
The moment she tried to stand up, her leg hit the iron bars. She groaned in pain but couldn't let that stop her.
Straining her eyes she tried to find her way back to the mansion. After several head-hitting leg injuries, she finally found her way toward the front of the mansion.
The sun set already so it was dark and this made it harder for her, she was still trying to find her way into the mansion when a sudden car horn blared through her eardrum making her fall in shock.
Instead of going into the mansion she had to go in the wrong direction.
Julian was driving back to the mansion only to see his wife struggling to find her way, she had abruptly stood in the middle of the path his car was supposed to drive past.
He pulled over in shock and ran out of the car noticing how she had fallen to the ground.
"Are you okay?" he asked her as she rushed toward her, stunned to see how wet she was and shivering badly he couldn't help but be more confused.
"What the fck made you this wet?" he asked and Astrid broke into tears.
He looked toward his car to see his drunk friend already sleeping off in the car.
Then he gestured for his guards who had run out of the mansion gearing the boss' car horn to take him to his room.
Julian pulled his jacket and wrapped it around her, the moment she felt his touch she grabbed his hands tightly.
"Pl… hell… help me into the room," she whispered and Julian was stunned.
"You are freezing? Since how long have you been put here?" her voice trembles as she tries talking.
Julian was terrified by this and immediately lifted her from the ground, it was hard for him because of her weight but he still succeeded.
He walked right into the mansion to see the worried Sophie pacing around in the living room.
"Julian have you seen.." she stopped her sentence seeing how cold Astrid was.
"How.."
"I should ask you the same question," Julian barked out before she could talk and went straight for Astrid's room.
He dropped her on the couch and squatted before her whole body trembling out of the cold.
"What can I do for you?" he was confused about where to begin she shook her head, this time staring into his eyes.
Julian was struck by the beauty of her eyes, "Wow… your eyes are beautiful.." he let out before he could control himself
"Ma… am Sophie." she let out and Julian wasn't happy with this response from her.
Miles was with her all through this morning but she never chased him out but now she is doing so to him.
"Alright.." Julian answered if it would help get he needed to do it, Sophie burst through the room with warm water in her hands.
"You should help her change," Julian announced as he stood outside her room door.
"Hey… Dear.. I am so sorry for not noticing you are outside the mansion," Sophie apologized as she peeled off her dress instantly.
"You will get sick if you continue being in this outfit," Sophie advised worriedly.
Astrid felt a bit of love seeing that she cared, "I can't see clearly without my contact," she whispered.
"Why? How would you get it?.."
"I have run out of eye contact, you can just help me into the bathroom." Sophie was sad about this, she had a feeling Mattie had something to do about her current situation but she couldn't say a word.
A Few minutes later she was done with her bath and had changed out of it for the third time today.
Sophie walked out to help her prepare soup while Julian who had stood outside of the room the whole time knocked.
"Come in," her low voice whispered as she tried getting to her bed.
"What is wrong with you?" he asked, seeing the way she was struggling to get on the bed.
"I lost my contact in the pool," she replied, still struggling.
Only then did he realize she couldn't see clearly, that must have caused her to go the wrong way.
"That's the wrong way to the bed," Julian rushed towards her, attempting to assist her to the correct side, but she tripped.
Before she could fall, he swiftly turned her around, and as they tumbled. In an attempt to prevent her from falling to the ground, she fell on him with everything happening so quickly as their lips met in a soft kiss.
