FEW HOURS BEFORE THE SHOW
Julian stormed out of Astrid's room, feeling stupid and guilty for forcing himself on her and still finding fault.
He shut his eyes, frustration etched on his face and took a deep breath.
But his moment was short-lived when he felt a presence before him.
"Your parents are mad you aren't in the meeting yet, despite waiting for two hours," Miles said, his voice laced with amusement, as he raised his phone.
Julian's eyes snapped open, and he winced. "Oh..." He recalled his scheduled meeting and cursed under his breath.
He walked past Miles but stopped and turned back, his expression darkening. "Wait, you are still going to wait for her?" Miles smirked.
"I heard you made sure to destroy the lives of those men," Miles said, a snicker playing on his lips, not responding to his question
Julian's confusion deepened, and his brow furrowed. "The ones from two nights ago?"
