The next morning Astrid woke up still in her dirty wedding dress, she looked so exhausted. She had to lay on her head on her bed and sleep off since she didn't want to get the mattress dirty.
A knock followed, and she immediately went to open the door, still looking so tired.
She saw Julian, her eyes widened, she was about to shut the door when he used his leg to stop it.
"Are you born dirty?" He asked, staring at her with disgust.
She rolled her eyes at this, "Good morning to you too." She responded and he was surprised at this.
He isn't the type to greet anyone, people greet him, but for a weird reason he felt bad he hadn't greeted her first when he saw her.
"Get ready on time mum is down the stairs waiting to see you," Astro looked up amazed.
She wasn't expecting his mum to come to visit immediately, "Alright…. Sir," she added and Julian stared at her for a while.
"Don't use that for me, mum would visit here often." She bobbed her head at this, and Julian turned to exit the room but she clasped the hem of his shirt.
"I don't have anything to wear," she whispered barely above her voice.
Julian stirred at the closet and back to her, and she shook her head immediately.
"They are not my size," she said again, already understanding what he meant.
Julian snatched his shirt off glaring hard at her, he walked off without a response leaving her to stand there.
She didn't know what to do at first but after a few seconds she went to the closet rummaging through the dresses there to at least get one dress she would use but none was her size. "Another reason to hate my body," she whispered almost in tears.
She felt stupid and irritated with this, if he had allowed her to take bags, she wouldn't have been left stranded this way.
She finally saw a blue knee-length gown which was expandable, she sighed and decided to go for that one.
She did her morning routine, throwing her wedding dress in the laundry basket with the hope of washing it once his mum left.
She was in the middle of putting on her gown when she heard a knock again.
"Hold on," she yelled out and quickly wore the gown in the middle of trying to zip it. She heard a ripping sound that made her freeze for a moment.
"Open the damn door," she heard Julian's voice from the outside
She was frustrated not knowing what to do, "Why are you back?" She asked and Julian was stunned at her question.
He looked down at his hands which clasped his pants and shirt.
He felt she would be able to wear this till she got the dresses of her size.
Only then did something occur to him, why did he care about her dress when the only thing she did was whisper a sentence?
He is the type that doesn't give a fuvk about others aside from Mattie, how come he's acting nice toward her?
He blew off a rasp of air and pushed the door open, the next he heard was a scream and her running inside the bathroom.
"Why come in that way?" He stared at the scattered room which was filled with dresses.
He blew out another rasp of air, "You can wear this as a substitute till you get your size of the dress," He announced, making her stunned.
She never expected him to care when he had just walked off after she told him her predicament.
"Thanks," she whispered from the bathroom. "I am doing it for Mum, get ready on time and get your ass down the stairs." He cleared his throat and walked out of the room.
When she was sure that he left she walked out of the bathroom, one of her hands hanging up, and strutted toward the door to lock it from the inside.
She rushed back to the bed and checked the outfit he had placed on the bed.
A small smile spread across her face as she checked it out, she immediately wore them and it was exactly her size.
She was pleased with the way the baggy trousers and shirt looked on her, staring at her mirror reflection she couldn't help but smile.
For a weird reason wearing his clothes made her find a bit of confidence in herself.
She never thought she would get this close to her crush again and sniffed in the beautiful fragrance coming from the shirt.
She was still lost checking herself when another knock came on the door.
"Damn!" She whispered and rushed toward the door but then who she saw wiped the smile off her face.
"Good morning, ma'am," she whispered but got a silent treatment instead.
Mattie pushed her into the room and shut the door from behind.
"Why are you in his clothes?" Mattie asked and Astrid looked down.
"I just asked a question, Fatso!" Astrid felt the pain hit her straight in her gut.
"None of the dresses fit me so…" she trails off seeing fury in her eyes.
"How dare you wear it even though he handed them to you," Mattie screeched and pulled her roughly, making Astrid shocked.
"You don't deserve to wear something this expensive on that piggy body," Mattie let out and tore the shirt off her body.
"I… I don't have," Mattie slapped her, shutting her mouth.
"I should be his wife now, and I have every right to tell you what to do and not," She went to her closet rummaging through it, and then threw another gown that wasn't her size.
"Wear that, exactly what fits you fatso," Astrid squatted in pain as she watched Mattie walk off.
She couldn't blame her, she had made the mistake, and she understood why she hated her.
She checked the torn shirt she had worn, "It's expensive and…" she placed it on her nose and sniffed the beautiful scent emitting from it.
Frustrated, she picked the gown and wore it, after so much trouble she finally succeeded in wearing it.
She didn't bother pulling off the pants and strutted out knowing Julain's mum had waited enough.
She got to the dining room and she met them both having a serious conversation.
She stood outside so it wouldn't look like she was eavesdropping, but Becky saw her immediately and then called for her to come in.
"I will come another time you both must be having a conversation," Astrid refused but Becky gestured for her to come in.
When she appeared before the both of them, Julian spat out the water from his mouth staring at her style of dressing in a stunned way.
"What the fuck are you wearing?" he thundered, making her swallow hard.
"I… I am sorry, I tore the shirt in the middle of wearing it," Astrid voice stutters, the fear in her visible at the way he had screamed at her.
Becky noticed this and walked up to her, "You don't have to be sorry, he should be the one to do so for not getting a dress your size."
"Mum," Julian called, stunned at her, she rolled her eyes still staring at Astrid.
"Let's have breakfast and get you your size, so you can get ready for your honeymoon," Becky announced getting a shocking "What" from both lads.
