Chapter 22 - SPENDING A NICE TIME TOGETHER

"Wow! That's a good one.." The whole crew clapped hard for Astrid as the commercial finally ended.

Even though she hadn't done it before she made the commercial a lot of fun and got the right word to say.

Eating the food was also not a problem for her since enjoyed it more.

Her real reason for coming to the restaurant in the first place. Julian could only watch her in amusement as she ate with no care in the world.

Ever since she had stepped out of the room after the makeover, weirdly he couldn't get her eye off her.

Even with her glasses, she slayed so hard and effortlessly.

"Let's leave.." Julian told her and she bobbed her head in ecstasy, It was the first time she had acted that way with him.

They were about to leave when Maren called her back, "You can keep the dress, it makes you look like a queen."

She then stretched a card to her, "Heard you came here for your honeymoon with your husband, we can talk more if you are interested in this when you get back to state."

Maren let out as she winked at her, earning a glare from Julian.

"Thanks, a lot." Astrid appreciated, "I would need your account details," she let out again, as Astrid stared at her confused.

"Send it to me instead," Julian cut Maren off as he pulled Astrid with him.

"Hey!" Maren called but Julian was already walking out of the restaurant.

Julian saw the bright smile on her face and he wanted to keep it.

"You are full now right?" he asked and she nodded in approval.

"Where would you like to go?" he asked her and she stared at him surprised.

"It's our honeymoon and I planned to take you out to get Mum off my back," he replied, a bit irritated.

"We can go home if you don't want to stress yourself, Mattie also won't be…" her words were stuck when he pushed her against the car roughly.

"Why do you always want to have nothing with me?" Astrid eyes widen at how close they are.

"You chat to Miles freely," Julain stated and she gulped down nervously.

"It's.. It isn't what you… are thinking. You have someone you love, I came…" A camera flashed making him shocked as he let her go immediately.

"The press.." he groaned and helped her get into the car, "I need to start moving with guards."

He thought as he also got into his seat and drove out of the restaurant before the press could get closer to them.

Then he decided to take her to a park, she seemed to be the kind who enjoys little fun.

His car pulled up in the park and she glanced back at him wondering why he was there. Julian rolled his eyes and alighted from his car.

"Welcome boss.." one of the guards greeted, he had texted them on his way here because he would be furious knowing the press might follow him here again.

He helped her alight from the car, "Why are we here?" she asked with a bit of delight, laced in her tongue.

"To fool Mum," he answered and she nodded her head no in understanding.

"They both walked inside and the whole park was empty already.

She knows the way the rich work and she isn't surprised by this. Until her eyes saw the roller coaster she thought of making Julian ride in it with her.

Though she knows she is wrong for this, but this comes once in a lifetime she needs to enjoy the moment.

Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she tugged on Julian's hand, pulling him towards the roller coaster. "J-Julian, come on! Let's go!"

Julian's expression remained stoic, but he followed her, his long strides matching her excited pace.

Astrid bounced up and down, her voice barely above a whisper. "I-I love roller coasters, Julian! They're so much fun!"

Julian raised an eyebrow, his voice detached. "I am only doing this because of Mum, don't cross your limit."

Astrid's smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly recovered, her shy nature peeking through.

"S-sorry, Julian... I just really wanted to share this with you..."

Astrid's eyes shone with excitement, but her voice remained soft. "I-I hope you'll like it, Julian..."

As the roller coaster started moving, Astrid's initial scream of delight was quickly muffled, her hands clasped tightly together. Julian kept his arms crossed, his face set in a scowl.

But as they created the first hill and plummeted down, Astrid's eyes sparkled with joy, her smile radiant. Julian's heart skipped a beat, but he refused to show it, his mask of indifference firmly in place.

As the ride ended, Astrid turned to him, her voice barely above a whisper. "D-did you like it, Julian?"

Julian shrugged, his expression unyielding. "It was fine." though it was one of the best moments for her. Her family hardly allows her to do things like this to make herself happy.

Astrid's smile faltered, but she nodded, her shy nature retreating. "O-okay, Julian... I am glad you didn't hate it..."

She pulled him to other rides and they kept having a nice day until it was almost sunset.

Recalling he needed to attend a business party he quickly called it off.

Astrid on the other hand is pleased for the first time in her life without any deep thoughts and what she did the whole day was fun.

They got to their mansion Mattie was already mad at the thought of Julian leaving with Astrid for long and still not coming back.

The news of the both of them being spotted in the hospital had circulated over the media and the next was the one they had in front of the restaurant where Julain's position was that of kissing her.

She is irritated and has been calling Julian for a long time but he didn't pick up.

They both walked in and the smile disappeared from Astrid's face at the sight of Mattie's angry face.

"Julian.. Astrid… you are both back." Sophie yelled in excitement she was delighted seeing their moment.

But Mattie's next word made Sophie's smile disappear. "Where the fuck have you been, and what is going on here!?"

Julian for the first time asked himself how he had gotten along with her yelling all these days.

"It's a honeymoon for the both of us, I need to get mum off my back,"

Mattie broke into sardonic laughter, "Spend so much nice time with the one who had destroyed our lives?"

Julian breathed out in frustration, now finding his way up the stairs, and ignoring Mattie's completely.

Astrid, who knew Mattie might do something crazy, quickly tagged along with Julian with the thought of going into her room and locking it to avoid Mattie.

Astrid entered her room and noticed the light was off, which was unusual because she always left it on due to her sensitive eyes.

She wondered what could have happened, feeling a sense of unease.

Breathing out in relief, she decided to rest for a while before Julian called for her.

She sat on her bed, removed her glasses, and adjusted herself comfortably.

But as she settled in, she felt a body behind her. She gasped and was about to scream when a hand clamped over her lips.

"A sound and you might regret it," a voice whispered.

Astrid knew that voice, it was Julian's friend, the one she had a bad feeling about. Her heart racing, she tried to process what was happening.
