Rowan finally pulled up his car in front of an unfamiliar environment.
Astrid could tell it was a parking lot and couldn't help but wonder why they were both there when he should take her home.
"Rowan, what's going on?" she asked, eyeing the packed car. "Why are you here?"
Rowan turned to her, a warm smile spreading across his face.
"I am here because of you, Astrid," he said, his voice low and gentle. "You haven't seen yourself lately, and I wanted to do something to make you happy."
Astrid's expression softened, and she looked away. Though she is grateful for him making her happy she can't help but wonder how she would feel if Julian had told her that.
She didn't argue with him and just alighted from the car, Rowan felt bad she wasn't giving him the chance to help her out of the car but felt it was a little process.
She looked around and Rowan moved to her side grabbing her hands, "Let go!" he announced before she could stop him.
