Everything tonight happened so fast. I could literally hear my heartbeat. My neck hurts; the claws in his hands were piercing my skin. I found it hard to breathe, and I knew that death was near.
His face was so terrifying. I was scared, it was the first time I had ever felt afraid of someone.
I remember those days back in Oxville. I was feared by both students and teachers.
I did whatever the hell I wanted and got away with it.
Indeed, I was a nuisance. I did a lot of terrible things to my juniors and even my classmates; no one dared to face me.
And here I am, scared, when people used to tremble at my voice.
I tried my best to free myself from his grasp to breathe properly, but his hands were firm on my neck.
With an evil smile on his face, he said,
"I've caught you now, you little spy."
Everyone in the court was surprised by the scene. Eska stood up, maintaining her composure so as not to transform in anger in front of everyone, and said calmly but loudly enough for all to hear,
"Let her go!"
Nemus turned, looked at her, and laughed.
"Tell me, Eska Vew, what are you going to do if I don't? Call the police?" Then he laughed again.
She clenched her fists to keep herself from exploding, then took a deep breath,
"You've got the wrong girl. She doesn't even know what you're talking about."
Nemus laughed and pulled me closer, saying,
"I never forget a smell. Perhaps all things will be made better when I turn her into one of us."
Hearing this, I became terrified.
The last thing I wanted was to become a bloodsucking demon.
He bent my head, exposing my neck, and prepared to sink his fangs into it.
I closed my eyes, already screaming, waiting to feel his teeth on my neck. But then he let go of me, and I dropped to the ground.
Relieved, I slowly opened my eyes to see what had just happened.
I noticed that Nemus's hand was bleeding, it was the same hand he had used to hold me and at my front was Jesse, already transformed into a vampire.
I was shocked because Jesse, the guy who couldn't stand me from day one, appeared to be the one who had just saved me from this monster.
He turned his head slightly to look at me and caught me staring at him in surprise. Then he looked over to where Nemus was.
"I think that's enough excitement for tonight," he said in a distorted voice.
Nemus laughed.
"But come on, the party's just getting started."
"Hey buddy," Zack called his attention and came over to where Jesse stood. "I think it's time for you to leave."
"I'm not going anywhere," Nemus said signalling his men to surround to the area.
Then Pink, witnessing what had just happened, shouted at the top of her voice, catching everyone's attention.
"I wouldn't let you turn Terra into your kind."
"Pink Spencer," Nemus called with delight "I'll enjoy ripping you apart, bit by bit."
"You'll have to go through us then," Summer chummed in as the cheer leaders formed a defensive circle around Pink, slowly begin to transform into their original forms.
"Yes! We won't let you inflict fear upon us again!" a blonde guy from the crowd yelled
"Get out of our school, Nemus, we don't need you here." a junior student said as every other person began yelling at him to go.
Angry, Nemus signaled his men to attack, and a fight broke out in the basketball court.
The scene was brutal, with many People injured.
Some students hid behind their seats, while others exited the court.
The place became rowdy and disorderly.
Seeing how distracted everyone was, he nodded to Regina to come and get me.
When I saw her approaching, I tried to stand up, but the pain in my neck kept bringing me down.
I could still feel the sharp edge of his claws on my skin.
Unable to stand, I began clawing away, but then Eska came and stood next to me.
When Regina saw Eska, she paused and slowly moved away.
"Are you okay?" Eska asked, lifting me up, but I was unable to answer.
Just then, a young man, probably in his mid-twenties, came into the court holding a weird-looking stick in his left hand.
He saw how rowdy the place was, then raised the stick, and suddenly everything froze.
I felt dizzy, trying to force myself to stay awake, but to no avail; I passed out.
