"They're falling stars. . ."
King Lupin stood outside the castle, ordering his citizens into the castle. The guards ran through the kingdom searching for stragglers while avoiding debris and evading falling stars. As he stood by, King Lupin looked at the eastern woods, worried for Leo's safety.
'Que estés a salvo, mi querida estrella. . .'
. . .
Gasping for breath, Leo ran through the eastern desert of the Krystal kingdom. He stumbled across sandhills, stones, and crystals. He tripped and fell many times, but he kept his focus and continued.
As Leo ran and ran, time stood still. There was a sudden wind as a cloaked figure appeared beside the young witch. Leo looked at the cloaked figure with wide eyes, watching as they smiled maliciously.
"Maledicat te Autumnus et Endor ad inferos cara stella~."
A searing pain shot through Leo's body as a giant crystal spike erupted from the ground and impaled him in the abdomen as it curved. He looked up at the sky, the pain caused him to scream and grab at the curved spike. The cloaked figure's malicious smile grew wider as they walked away from the scene.
Leo was unable to move, and he watched in horror as the figure vanished into the distance. He lay on the ground, his life slowly ebbing away. He could feel the crystal spike leave his abdomen, and he knew he would die. The blood would leave his body without that spike, but there was nothing to do. . .
Losing consciousness, Leo sobbed and reached out to the sky. The stunning stars calmed him just marginally. Leo's hand suddenly became limp and fell to the ground. As this happened, his eyes became heavy, and he began to drift off to sleep.
As his eyes closed, a giant glistening white wolf stood above him with saddened gold eyes. . .
"Hello again, my darling wolf~"
. . .
'Que estés a salvo, mi querida estrella. . .'
As the last few citizens fled into the castle, Jabari ran to King Lupin with concern, "your highness, everyone but Leo is accounted for." King Lupin stared worriedly as he asked, "even the Gale family is here?" To which Jabari nodded, keeping her composure. "Yes, one of the maids reported seeing them in the castle."
King Lupin looked to the eastern desert in worry as he said, "alright, there seems to be no more of those 'lights'. I will find Leo while you and your men watch over the citizens general." Jabari stood straight and said, "yes sire!" Before ordering the guards to the castle.
As King Lupin ventured into the eastern desert in pursuit of Leo, a shrill pained scream was heard, echoing through the silent desert. King Lupin increased his pace, fear gripping his heart as he followed the sound.
His body transformed once he heard this, growing larger and more magnificent until he stood as a stunning white wolf with shimmering fur and golden eyes. With newfound speed and strength, he raced through the desert, determined to find and protect his beloved Leo.
After running and running, King Lupin slowed to a stop, breathing heavily as his violet eyes stared at a small figure lying on the ground. "No. . ." King Lupin whispered under his breath as he crept towards the figure. It became more and more apparent that this was Leo, who lay in a pool of his own blood.
Now looking over Leo's body with saddened eyes, King Lupin could tell Leo was alive, but badly wounded in the abdomen. "Leo. . . " King Lupin muttered with a sigh, which caught the young witch's attention as he turned to look at the stunning white wolf.
In a daze, Leo reached his hand up to hold the wolf's furry face, smiling slightly. . .
"Hello again, my darling wolf~"
