Chapter 128 - Eight Guardians

The large door of the church burst open. Priest Howard's eyes landed on a warrior adorned with a golden saber.

"You are here again? You've attempted seven times without success. Why can't you just give up?"

Priest Howard grinded his teeth in annoyance with his tone full of impatience. "I didn't know you. Why do you have so much hatred for the church?"

"We had killed you repeatedly but how do you keep coming back in one piece? What kind of creature are you!?"

It started two years ago, out of nowhere, the warrior in front of him began to assault the patrol officers of the church, preventing them from going outside to perform their task.

At first, Howard didn't pay attention to it and sent stronger officers to kill the warrior and it succeeded.

However, the warrior who should have been dead came back again! The priest scared to death, used the church's holy squad to eradicate him until no cells were left. Yet, he came back again after a week. Well-equipped and stronger.

Priest Howard thought that they had encountered a vengeful ghost and used the highest level purifying method of their church to purge the evil. Yet, it failed. The warrior wasn't a vengeful ghost, but a real human that really just went back to life!

They tortured him yet he wasn't afraid of death. The warrior's name was Daoist Sulek. He always tried to sabotage the operations of their church, went as far as persuading the townspeople that they were evil, and tried to investigate the blood pill operation many times.

"What do you want from us!?" Priest Howard lifted his staff.

With a bright golden light, eight warriors emerged.

Although priests like him are just awakened. Each priest is in charge of branches of the headquarters of the church. They had been given eight guardians to guard them in case of an emergency like this, and they could be summoned through their staff.

Each golden guardian had the individual strength of a noble!

"I want your life!" Daoist Sulek's golden saber turned into a streak of golden light and transformed into the shape of a spear.

The streak of golden light released a dazzling hue as it shot toward Howard at unmatched speed.

Unfortunately, one of the golden warriors raised its hind leg.

CLINK!

The golden light cut through the sword of the golden warrior, but it gradually lost its power.

Priest Howard felt a sting on his neck and saw a small cut bleeding slightly. At this time, he immediately hid behind the eight guardians and commanded. "Finish him!"

Daoist Sulek clicked his tongue. "I've reached the Noble Realm faster than other players due to my physique that could roughly locate medicinal herbs and treasures. I've gained a gold-quality saber... Do you think that those eight puny guardians of yours are enough to stop me!?

I must complete the task Senior has assigned to me no matter how many times I die!"

The spear-shaped weapon in his hand returned to its golden saber form. "With my saber, I must stop your atrocities!"

Unbeknownst to them, Dylan had been watching them through the layers of walls. Under Dylan's, double pupils, no secret could escape. His eyes saw through the mechanisms, the principal, the very fundamentals that make up the eight guardians' existence.

'Incredible... These eight guardians aren't real lives but they have consciousness. What are those seven colors??'

'Are these seven emotions?'

Black, green, yellow, red, purple, blue, and brown represents seven emotions.

'These seven guardians... Instinctively linked, they complement each other in an endless cycle. They are actually beings made of seven emotions!'

Somewhat puzzled, and amazed at such creation. Dylan began to wonder who could create such unique things. The only pity was the fact that they only had Noble Realm strength individually.

He tried to use his panel to see their stats but it failed. They're not real creatures!

Subsequently, the eight golden guardians surrounded Sulek.

Fierce slash!

Horizons cut!

Dance of dragons, outward thrust!

Numerous attacks, each differing in trajectories, began to rain down against Sulek.

Sulek parried one with his saber that transformed into a mighty shield. Sidestepped to avoid a fierce slash aimed at his vital point in the neck. Yet, amidst the storm and flurries of attacks.

Two hit his shoulders; five hit his torso, and a sharp sword almost severed his entire upper body.

Bloodied, Sulek didn't display fear. There was a mad grin on his face. "Bring it on you bastards!!"

Since he couldn't move his other shoulder. Sulek used his available arm and punched a golden warrior in the head, right beneath its nose, causing it to fly away.

Suddenly, the ground trembles and a golden guardian emerges out of the ground with a golden dagger aimed at Sulek's head.

Two of the golden guardians completed hand seals. Blue chains exuding golden mist shot out. Then, the rest of the guardians also performed hand seals.

Various immobilizing techniques bound Sulek who still had a wide grin.

"You're dead again this time." Priest Howard watched the golden guardians who were about to finish Sulek. "Do not come back here again!"

The golden dagger reached Sulek's face. Instead of blood, the sound of buzzing was heard.

The dagger, one centimeter to Sulek's nose, couldn't advance further as if it encountered something solid.

Dylan walked out of the darkness. His gaze was on Sulek and Howard. "It's been a while..."

"This voice..." Howard's eyes had a glint of coldness on them and his face turned ugly. "Although you become taller. You're appearance changed. I won't forget the humiliation you did to our church last time!"

"We searched for you but you had affiliated yourself with Warrior Alliance. We can't act against the alliance and cause a war just for you leaving us no choice. But now..." Howard had a wicked smile. "You actually sent yourself us? Hahaha! You stupid brat!"

"You escaped my schemes in the past. But now, no one can save you."

"You managed to recognize me..." Dylan was actually surprised at this. "Well, that makes it easier for me then."

"Senior!!" Sulek didn't expect to see Dylan here. He looked at the stuck dagger that couldn't move forward. 'Is this Senior Dylan's doing?'
