Chapter 108 - Saint vs Beyonder

The Ancestor watched as the king disappeared in a flash. A strange glint appeared in his eyes. "This grandson doesn't seem to be fond of his position. His talent is also quite mediocre for a king blessed by the qi movement of the entire kingdom." He sighed. "If not for his excellent management, I would have opposed my son for passing the throne to such a waste."

With an inaudible murmuring, he walked forward. A few steps later, he crouched at the transparent ground and pressed his ears on it. With that, a joyful light emerged in the depths of his pupils. "He's awake!"

At this moment, strange murmurings sounded all around the Ancestor. In the Ancestor's eyes, the blue became bluer, the red became redder, and the transparent color turned even more transparent.

Blue flames rose everywhere and the temperature rose sharply. If not being an Ancestor Expert, he would have turned to ashes by now.

The Ancestor writhed in pain as a starry aura immediately protected him against the blue flames that arose.

'The heavenly ice fire really deserves its name.'

Just like that, a similar coffin like that of his emerged on the ground. The coffin had a shade of azure with dragon patterns on the lid.

The lid didn't open but a silhouette of a man, creamy and illusory, went through the lid.

The Ancestor scrutinized the Indra spirit of his son with pride. "Have you taken the final step?"

"Not yet..." The tone of the milky white projection didn't contain a hint of emotion. "Father, what's the matter? Did my son encounter difficulties?" His tone is visibly affectionate.

In this world, the higher one's realm, the higher one's level of existence, the harder it is to give birth. At the former king's current realm, giving birth to a son could be said to be one in a million chances. For this reason, powerful beings are incredibly protective of their children and go to lengths for their safety and cherish them.

The former king was no exception. Even if he knew that his son's talent wasn't comparable to his, he still passed the throne to him. He even personally guided the king and taught time the highest-level techniques he had created.

"The demon invasion is coming. He wants you to keep the Abyss Ruler in check. You know, as the only Asura of this era in the mortal realm, endless slaughter will be the only result..."

"That damned Azazel treats us humans as mere livestock. Once he successfully ruled the world, a billion mortal lives would be sacrificed. It's his goal to cross the insurmountable bottleneck and reach the Fairy Realm!"

"Although he would be the weakest Fairy expert in history for taking a shortcut. A fairy expert is still a fairy."

The milky projection just listened quietly, looking unconcerned. It even yawned throughout the conversation.

"That Azazel is indeed terrifying. If not for the qi movement, I would have gone to the Netherlands at our first confrontation. But now it is different, I can feel it... The Asura Realm!"

"As for the Demon Invasion? Don't waste your energy. That man looks down on everyone. His real plan isn't to invade our world but to reconnect the heavenly gate..."

The Ancestor's eyes revealed disbelief. "Crazy!"

...

Dylan woke up.

An hour later, with the help of his maids, he managed to complete his routine quite quickly. Eat, bath, and dress. He roamed the entire mansion habitually, stayed in the garden to appreciate the flowers and plants, teased the maids, painted a random animal, and posted it on a wall with the text "first masterpiece."

With the tick of the time, Dylan reached the main branch at exactly 9 in the morning agreement.

He stepped out of the carriage made of Arctic Tree and carbon alloy and told the guard to pick him up at 1 pm.

Just like that, Dylan met the Vice Pavilion Master Jin. Now, they're inside an arena with the Pavilion Master Ryujii as a witness.

"Once the rock hits the ground. The fight will begin, okay?"

Ryujii threw the stone. In just two seconds, the rock descended and hit the ground.

"I apologize for taking your position in advance." Dylan pounced toward Jin like a jaguar.

Jin clasped his hand with a deadpan face. "You're overconfident for no reason. I'll let you see the gap between a Beyonder and a Saint."

The two exchange blows. Dylan, blessed with a Mammoth body and various Innate talents, gained the upper hand at their first exchange.

Jin felt the inhuman strength Dylan possessed and tasted humiliation for the first time in a long while. How could Dylan, a mere Saint manage to push him back?

Ryujii watched as Dylan's fist connected with Jin's chest, hurling the latter's body outside of the arena.

A cloud of dust obscured Jin's figure but the painful grunt was heard.

"What a strong body!" Ryujii looked at Dylan with surprise.

In a brief exchange between the two, Jin managed to hit Dylan in the forehead and shoulder yet Dylan shrugged them off like they were nothing.

Jin jumped back at the arena, visibly upset. "You're cheating!"

"Don't blame your incapable hands and lack of skill to me. A dignified Beyonder like you doesn't even have the basic dignity to accept reality and instead makes up lame excuses?" Dylan mocked with his lips raised.

Dylan was quite elated. As expected, due to his accumulation and various innate talents, his foundation was so strong that he could defeat a Beyonder while at the Saint Realm. But he knew that this was the limit.

He won't be able to do the same against an Ancestor expert who had awakened special eyes.

"Do you think you've won?"

Jin gritted his teeth. A strong divine sense swept the surroundings.

His five senses, taste, hearing, vision, touch, and smell, fused to his 200-meter divine sense.

This is the difference between a Beyonder and a Saint. Beyonders can utilize their divine senses in battle.

At this moment, Jin's brain was overworked and ran rapidly, the humidity and temperature that touched his skin. With super fast analysis, his brain managed to memorize every nuance around, the odor, the air resistance.

Dylan unleashed a series of punches and kick combinations but Jin managed to dodge them all. Even those uncanny angles were evaded as if he had an eye behind his back.

'Is this a divine sense?' Dylan threw his fist; even with the speedster's innate talent, Jin managed to dodge yet again.

"Timing over speed!" Jin arrogantly declared as he caught Dylan's incredibly fast punch.
