Chapter 59 - A True Warrior

The battle in the gate grew fiercer. The death of a small success awakener made the other guards become more cautious.

On the other hand, hundreds of goblins successfully climbed at the top of the wall. The wall was long and spacious enough for them. Then the goblins on top of the directly jumped down. Unafraid of the heights. They only had one goal here. Destroy the farmland to stop the production of Tiger Grasses.

At this time, the leader of the guards, a great success awakener, finally took action. Behind him, an illusion of a human phantom appeared. He was covered in flames, and his expression was neutral.

Underworld Spirit Skill!

The temperature in the area rose. The guards and the goblins alike felt they were directly inside a burning stove.

As cunning as they were, the goblins who just landed shifted their gaze to the illusory phantom. They understood immediately what they needed to do.

The leader of the guards greeted the goblins that charged towards him. The Underworld Spirit Fire raised both of his hands. At this time, five pillars of orange flames appeared out of nowhere on the surface of the ground, burning seven goblins.

"As long as I, Alden, precede here, nothing will get past me!"

Alden, the leader of the guard, thrust his sword; his front delt and chest beneath his armor contracted as he exerted a great deal of pushing force.

A goblin swung its hammer to block the sword. When the two collided, the hammer melted like jelly. A sizzling sound of metal entered the goblin's ears. Following that, the sword, unobstructed, advanced quickly towards the goblin. Upon contact, the goblins turned to ashes.

Just like that, the goblins swarmed Alden, who employed great swordsmanship skills and his underworld fire spirit to kill goblins that tried to get past him. He managed to keep the majority of them at bay, but some goblins still manage to slip through the net.

'My mana consumption is too high.' With another vertical slash, a goblin turned to fly ash.

The guards behind Alden engaged the ones that managed to get past him. They're the least that struggled because the number of goblins they needed to fight was drastically reduced.

The Hobgoblin observed the battlefield quietly. The situation at the entrance of the farmland was in a stalemate. On the other hand, more and more goblins climbed the wall.

Although Alden looks mighty and all. The Hobgoblin knew that the situation was under control. He looked at the remaining eight hundred goblins that haven't even reached the wall yet. "Sea tactics are really troublesome under the Noble Realm."

"Time to end this farce." With a stomp of feet, the Hobgoblin created a two-meter-deep fissure on the sand. Suddenly, on the gate, the guards lost their balance.

"What is this!?"

The sand under their feet swallowed their feet and bound them tightly. A few seconds was enough to cause them their life. The goblins saw the opportunity and took it. Screams and wailings echoed after another. Heads flew out, blood dyed the wall, and the goblins finally breached the entrance.

Alden spat a mouthful of blood. He felt a heartache witnessing the companions he had for years die just like that. He steeled his heart, and a flash of resolve appeared in his eyes. "Even if I go down, I'll take you all with me! I've lived without enemies!"

A change in the Underworld Fire Spirit occurred. It's illusory body oscillates at a high frequency and goes...

BOOM!

A large explosion ensued; Alden's body burst to pieces. The terrifying mana and energy contained within a great success awakener was fully displayed. The goblins didn't even respond as the explosion swallowed them. The walls contained the explosion. Hundreds of goblins; both on top of the gate, and those who landed perished.

Debris began to fall to the sky, landing on the spiderweb cracks on the ground. Even the grasses and flowers in the field that haven't reached maturity were obliterated.

The eight hundred remaining goblins outside stared at the destruction. Black smoke filled the sky.

As the smoke settled. Inside the farmland, the hobgoblin entered the gate, wrecked by an explosion. He looked around and saw that there were no traces left. Even blood and body parts were utterly wiped out of the scene. "He was a true warrior at heart. But sometimes, bravery is a fool. Lived without enemies? What a profound words to say before dying."

"They could just abandon the farm land and still live the other day. Why stay here to fight for measly tiger grasses and give up your life and future? Don't they have families? Don't they have ambition?"

The Hobgoblin couldn't understand the logic of the leader of the guards. "Perhaps for honor and pride? How foolish..."

...

"Attack!!!"

The Berserker Deer was startled as he saw the warriors in the well perform a sudden attack at him.

CLANG!x3

A sword, a dagger, and a blunt axe landed on the Berserker's body.

The three warriors felt like they hit an iron plate. A realization sunk in at this time.

The Berserker deer looked speechless.

'My turn...'

Ram!

With the use of a skill, he rammed his head into one of them, causing the warrior to fly away and hit the stone of the well with his head.

No matter what. Since they attacked him. It's only reasonable for him to give them his counterattack.

His blood burst with the impact, and pieces of brain matter could be seen.

"This isn't a Feifei deer." The two warriors lost their courage with the death of their companions.

On the rear, there are still two who responded swiftly. They took out a bronze-quality bow and fired at the Berserker deer. The two arrows released from the bow took on an orange hue and hit the Berserker deer.

'It's kind of hot. This is so relaxing.' Hit by an arrow, the Berserker deer saw the orange hue suddenly turn to a spark of blazing flames. However, with the stack of innate talents that made his body almost indestructible against Awakener's attacks. He didn't even feel the slight pain.

Energy Beam!

Blue lights gathered on his antlers as he pulled the thin concentration of mana in the air that was invisible to normal people. With the accumulation, a blue energy ball emerged, floating on top of the deer's antler.

Subsequently, he fired it towards the remaining four that dared to attack him.

In just a few seconds, the energy beam cut through their bodies like a laser. It instantly cauterized damaged flesh as the laser went through their body, which prevented even the tiniest leak of blood.
