Chapter 18 - Half Human, Half Vampire

After Dylan joined the party. He went with the blue robe warrior and scarred warrior to wait outside the Congyun City for the two other members of the team. Their leader named "Orochi" and "Kenjaku" the strategist.

Under the shade of the tree, the blue robe warrior and the scarred warrior were looking in the distance impatiently. Dylan, on the other hand, decided to keep quiet. He had achieved his goal of joining the team. There's no need to talk too much and unintentionally reveal information.

Information is power. The less they know about him. The more leverage and power he has with them. He would only talk if they asked him a question or if he, himself, had doubts.

Fortunately, the two were also not the talkative type as they just waited silently. They would just exchange a few words now and then to express their dissatisfaction with the two late members.

Dylan quietly cast a glance at them. First, at the blue robe warrior.

Dylan almost jumped when he saw the race. He didn't expect he would encounter another race in the early game. Although not a full-blooded elf, it was still quite amazing. After all, elves live in the Far East. In the Heisen Fairy Zone.

Half-elves had gotten part of the advantages of elves. High HP, large amount of mana, faster recovery of mana, and affinity to water, and wind attributes. Of course, the advantages were a lot weaker than full-blooded elves. The elves had an affinity to nature itself. Their HP and Mana had reached the exaggerated level even those low-level elves. Unfortunately, their fertility rate was trash

Due to this, Elves had a superiority complex. Humans may not have advantages like Elves but their strength lies in their excellent fertilizer and their cunning. Humans, being considered one of the weakest races, had to fully utilize their wits to keep up with the top races like Demons and Dragons. A lot of races suffered at the hands of humans through devious trickery and strategies

As he thought of this, Dylan then cautiously turned his head at the scarred warrior.

...

Name: Hank

Race: Human

Profession: N/A

Danger Level: Dangerous

...

At least, the scarred warrior was not another half-human or something. It would really give him a shock if that happens. After all, half-races aren't cabbages in the market. It's a lot harder for half-races of any sort to be born than full-blooded races. For example, half-vampire and half-elf.

Compared to the half human half elf. Half vampire half elf got the advantages of both races. More importantly, they would awaken in their unique magic only accessible by half-vampires and half-elves... That is "Blood Magic". After all, vampires had an affinity for blood. Elves had an affinity for magic. When combined, it results in Blood Magic. Blood Magic belongs to high-tier magic. Above the four basic attributes: Water, fire, earth, wind,

Even Dylan didn't have much information about Blood Magic. It was Unique to the point that players in his past life tried every means to have their character become half vamp half-elf Unfortunately, it was almost impossible in the game. The default race in the game was human. It was hard to change one race without an opportunity. There are a lot of methods, but each was more difficult than the others.

Suddenly, Dylan seemed to think of something. 'I'm an NPC. For me, I'm living in this game world. Could I achieve what players can't achieve? Become a half vampire half human?'

If half-vampires and half-elves get "Blood Magic,"... What do human half-vampires get? There's no record of any human half-vampire in this world.

The allure of blood magic made Dylan's breathing quickened. Dylan had to admit that he was a greedy person. This trait always leads him to some trouble. However, for the sake of benefits, he would do it!

After all, if he obtains blood magic. It would be another edge against the immortal players.

As for the concern of changing one's race? Some people are absolutely repulsive to become another race and are proud to be human. Not to mention choosing dark races such as demons, vampires, etc...

Dylan didn't have such concern. What's there to be so reluctant? Being human doesn't have advantages in combat. He wasn't against changing and he doesn't feel any negative about it. As long as he obtains power. As long as there is a huge benefit to his strength. He would do it!

Why stay human if you can become something more? Dark race or something? As long as it brings him beneficial changes, he wouldn't need to think too much. He was willing to become a monster if it meant stronger strength! Of course, the premise is that he keeps his sanity and control of his emotions. If not, then no thanks. The losses outweigh the gains.

How should he phrase it? In his opinion, a thing can only be considered beneficial if it's within control. Losing control just to obtain power is absolutely stupid.

He was willing to look like a monster in exchange for strength. But not if it means he will lose control of himself. A power that one cannot control is just a time bomb waiting to explode.

Just like that, 10 minutes of waiting passed. Finally, two distant silhouettes emerged in the distance. Kevin and Hank were visibly relieved as they saw the two distant figures.

'Who is Orochi and who is Kenjaku between the two?'

Dylan stood up and cast a curious glance at the two. What attracted his interest was the one in the lead. The man was donned in a black loose shirt. A forehead-length hair that looks like anime white hair. It was so white, maybe whiter than snow.

On both sides of his ears, there are two hanging black cross piercings that were 100% designed, similar to the Christian cross on Earth. He also has an eye-catching black bracelet on both of his wrist.

However, what really caught Dylan's attention was the fact that the guy wasn't walking. His feet were five inches from the ground. He's floating. No, the exact word should be levitating.
