Chereads / Astero "The Forgotten God" Vol.1 / Chapter 12 - Nightmare

Chapter 12 - Nightmare

Day 4 After the trip to Colombia begins, I find myself tied up and on top of a car. Why? Well, a certain dwarf had the idea of fighting with some humans who were armed and are still ex-military, well they took me and Wulls prisoner with the small difference that the one who got the blows was me, they said we can't hit a small woman, yes of course, She was the one who insulted their mothers! Even though I offered to spank Wulls, they ended up thinking that I'm a mere criminal who goes around stealing from everyone, anyway.

Nowadays I am still on top of the car with the small difference that a certain dwarf is next to me smiling happily and eating a sandwich.

"You're laughing your ass off, aren't you, child.

"No, I just see that you've gotten us into big trouble.

"Now it turns out that I was the one who insulted the ex-military and their mothers?"

"The problem wasn't that, but that you didn't run away, if you had, we wouldn't be here."

I had a good point I could not debate with her if we talk about solutions, however, I think this could benefit us a little as we seem to be inside a small building in ruins, I think they are possibly recruiting people to defend the nearby towns or at least I want to think, but at the moment the car is in the underground parking lot of the small building.

"When are you going to untie me from here?"

"When you order me, master," he laughed.

"I promise you one of these days," I said between grunts.

After untying me Wulls broke down a door of the car where we left, when we left we started walking through the dark parking lot, we could hardly see anything, I was only guided by the walls while Wulls followed me from behind.

"I love Asterio," Tana spoke to me.

"What's wrong?"

"I could try to form a small sphere of light with its vital energy, to light the way.

"Oh yes, it's true, thank you, Tana, I wish someone was like you," I said, referring to a certain dwarf who was right behind me.

"You would like to be an idiot," Wulls laughed after saying that.

I managed to make a small sphere of light that illuminated my surroundings, and unfortunately I could realize that the parking lot was completely empty, only the car where we were could be seen in the distance, the parking lot was practically huge, I asked Wulls if I could hear someone to let me know in time, she has very acute senses.

"I don't hear anything, but it's starting to smell bad here," he said as he now walked in front of me.

"What kind of smell are you referring to?"

"A corpse," he said without turning to look at me.

I decided to follow the smell of a corpse that Wulls told me, however, the smell reached a wall without further ado, I think it may be on the other side of the wall, but how the hell can I get through there? I could knock it down, but that would be alerting the ex-military, suddenly a question flooded my head.

"Wulls," I called her.

"What's wrong, are you afraid?" he said mockingly.

"You saw where they went, didn't you?" I asked seriously.

Suddenly he looked at me seriously as he approached me, he began to laugh turning up the volume little by little until he laughed, after that some humanoid creatures that looked more like shadows began to attack me, while Wulls was turned around.

"Master Asterio!" "Tana's name is me."

"What's going on!" I shouted, upset because they didn't stop coming for me.

"She n$ #% Wulls, #$& listens to me get out %$# from there," the communication cut off.

"Wait, Tana, then who is it?" Tana! I called her loudly.

Suddenly the shadows had completely immobilized me, for some strange reason I couldn't get away from them.

"How nice you look when you're so helpless," the fake Wulls spoke to me.

"Who are you?"

"I'm sorry to introduce myself like this, but it made me want to see your face invaded by fear, but from what I see I need something more to scare the savior of my people.

"Savior?"

"My name is Layla Silence, eighth queen of witches and great-great-granddaughter of the legendary but never mentioned, Layla Silence, better known as the witch of silence or the witch of the beginning," she took my face as she levitated in the air.

In the blink of an eye her appearance changed completely, she was now a very slender and apparently delicate woman wearing a black wedding dress, her dark hair and honey eyes could catch anyone's attention, no matter how she looked like a young girl of my age.

"What beautiful eyes you have," he said while caressing my hair, "tell me savior Why do you want to find answers to your wonderful smell that comes from inside you?"

"How do you know that?"

Her expression suddenly changed when she heard my question, she stopped taking my face and then snapped her fingers and illuminated the entire parking lot that was now a beautiful rose garden, the shadows had completely disappeared and in front of me was Layla sitting among a light grass that was among all the roses.

"I thought you'd be a big, strong man, but you seem to be just a developing teenager," he laughed.

"Now you treat me well, what a strange person you are.

She pointed to the grass with her right hand urging me to sit down, however, I didn't do it, I just stared at her carefully. When he saw that I lacked confidence in front of her he stood up and in the blink of an eye I was lying on the grass, with her on top of me.

"How is it?" He cut my question with his index finger, forcing me to be silent.

"At first glance you look like an ordinary person, a 17-year-old who thinks that the only way to get what he wants is to take it by force, a selfish attitude on your part, tell me honey if you were very hungry and there is nothing but another child you don't even know eating a loaf of bread, what would you do?"

"What is not obvious?" Let him eat his bread," I said, trying to shake her off me.

"And if your brother was the one who was hungry, what would you do?" He said, chuckling.

"How do you know I have a brother?"

"Why, then, if you have a brother," he approached my face again, "answer me, honey, what would you do?"

"Take the bread from him and give it to my brother," I said without further ado.

She smiled at the answer that came out of my mouth, while a strong wind blew making the roses fly revealing a fertile land without further ado, the witch's eyes carefully observed mine, while I felt that my body was not moving to the right, she moved my head to the left approaching my neck.

"You and I are going to understand each other very well," he said and then bit my neck.

Before my eyes I could see a lot of memories such as the birth of Layla, her process to become a witch, even the birth of her ninth daughter Layla Silence.

In addition, I was prostrate before a dark figure that was in front of me observing me in detail and finally I heard a voice in my head that told me "don't look for me"

My vision was blurring while in the distance I heard some voices, these voices belonged to Wulls and Tana, but I didn't understand their words very well, I felt a cold sensation on my lips as if I was kissing an ice, but just after feeling that sensation was when I could understand the words.

—Asterio

—I love Asterius

I heard in the distance again the voices of Wulls and Tana, however, when my vision cleared I could see how I was in the middle of what could be described as a sea, yes, I was inside the sea looking at a huge beast that defied the imagination of any fairy tale, of any fictional work made by the human being, a huge beast capable of eating an entire city with one bite.

"Wake up!" Wulls and Tana screamed in despair.

The huge beast had devoured me.
